I gave the film a 9.5, but there are certainly flaws.

Yeah I liked his look, but the human hand was weird.

Not really hard to know how Thor found out about Loki on Earth. Heimdall can see and hear all in the Nine Realms, which he reports back to Odin. Loki must have thought that with the Bifrost destroyed, Thor and/or Odin wouldn't be able to reach Earth to stop him.

i agree, with cap, i definitly liked him more this time around, as for your first point it would of taken alot more time to explain the Chitauri, and the running time was already a stretch so i could live without it, maybe it'll be on the DVD, as for Thor knowing about loki, we can always assume Hiemdel can still see beyond Asgard.
Another thing i wish is that the camera stayed on Black Widow a bit more from 'that angle' when 'not exactly' interrogating Loki. :-P |

"Assuming" about how Thor found out is weak considering how important that element of the film really is.

Ha ha I hope so. Brought a tear to my eye when you died. But I loved that being the reason the Avengers decide to let go of their petty differences and to decide they have to band together.

I would think the same thing. I'm also betting the Fury we see go into battle is an LMD too.

I think my biggest complaint would be the "made for tv" aesthetic.

Yup, I also think the movie would have been better if Thor had his helmet and Hawkeye had his mask

2) This I will agree with. 3) I agree with this too...but correct me if I'm wrong don't the Chitarui share a hive mind? That's their version of "order" isn't it? I'm getting this from The Ultimates (which is the only place they appear I believe). So I suppose it makes sense that once the "main brain" was destroyed so to would the pawns.

I didn't feel the TV aesthetic to much, only the scene where they are all together arguing, but i though it added to the intensity, or it was so tense it doesn't take anything away from it

Seriously some of the "critical complaints" I've seen on some of these threads are so comically misguided there are nitpicks to be had at best. I'm sure I'll have actual little complaints once I see it again but lordy I'm too busy putting pieces of my psyche back together to get all hung up on silly technicalities like "making Loki a clown". Bwahahaha.

I have a few complaints about it.
1. I did not like the story. It reminded me so much of Mass Effect 2. All these interesting and great characters but the story itself is very lacking. Very meh. 2. I loved Loki in the beginning but as the movie went on, he got less and less good for me by the end he was just kind of there. While I loved the whole Hulk beating him down, for a villain who is suppose to always be 5 steps ahead of everyone else it was a weak ending for him. 3. Speaking of weak endings, the Chithauri just ending like that because their ship was blown up was really stupid and a cop out. Also unless I missed something couldn't they have just brought the bomb up there to begin with 4. Act 1 had a lot of problems, I understand why though and none of that really bothered me although I can't believe how they just glossed over Thor's entrance, its like they couldn't come up with any better way so they just said oh look Thor is here.
