They just thought they'd stick TDKR poster at the top of the article to get more attention. But they can simply say it's because it's their cover feature... etc, etc.

While it would ruin the element of surprise, flashing the Batsignal would be a good way to mess Bane up.

I've thought that the last shot would include the batsignal for a while now. But having it pop up near the end before Bane and Bats clash would be cool too

It's just I don't see how they would have the time to get one until the very end until Gotham is rebuilt.

I watched all the Gotham Tonight episodes again for the first time in a long time. Interesting how they mention that many investors believe WE has so much influence over Gotham, that Bruce's immature acts worry them that he could personally throw Gotham into another depression. I think that theme may play a part in Rises, perhaps the reason for the stock exchange scene? Also the stealth roto blades mos def leave an impression. Maybe the Nolan's had The Bat idea for a long time now, possibly a brainstormed idea when conceiving the bat-pod. Maybe not to actually use but maybe they discussed how a flying bat-wing could actually work. I remember a time here in like 06 when the idea was very ridiculed lol.
