Default Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century

This was on sale when I was doing some DVD buying off Amazon, so decided to pick it up, having watched it when it first aired and not again since. Watching the first 20 episodes over the last two days, I have to say it was a pretty good show.

The first episode was a bit rushed in typical 90s fashion, trying to cram in a ton of story into more time than they had. They also used the 3D CGI backgrounds, which kind of cheapened the overall appearance when paired with the 2D, but fortunately they kept that limited to driving and location shots.

Besides that, the animation was excellent and the mysteries were actually decent. All elements needed for the audience to try and solve the mysteries were presented in the episodes, the only leap of faith requirements involving the future tech of the 22nd Century.

I can see why this show only lasted a season, as the target audience wouldn't likely sit around to watch action-light mysteries. But, for the older audience, it's a good fit.

Anyone else used to watch this?
