Also, it's a bit unavoidable. The only credible challenge to Superman that doesn't derail his origin story is a set of Kryptonians, and no surprise, Superman has lots of Kryptonian villains to draw from in the comics.

Good golly that was weird of me. You're right, so I slid his quote in there in the hopes that it will now make sense. Oy.

Aw, Supes doesn't stand a chance in this round. Oh well, at least he made it to the final showdown.

I love both. I don't want either to beat the other. But I still threw a vote Superman's way since he's going to get pummeled.

Glad Superman's made it this far but sorry, I'm going to have to throw a vote in Bats's direction.

I thought Supes would have it way worse, considering the success of Batman. I'd like to see the same poll in about a year post MOS.

if i see one more person on that comment section who says i relate more to batman i am gonna bust
yup a billionaire playboy who lives in a mansion with a butler and connections in the police force with gordan with fancy cars and gets all the girls and goes to high caliber celebrity parties due to his status through public image and has never had to work a day in his life yup i am just like him lol i love batman dont get me wrong but that i relate to batman more to superman is a comment i hear all the time and i dont get it i guess a hard working blue collar farm boy with family values who grew up in the mid west who has wanted to help people even before he became superman and even has a job on the side of his heroics is so unrelatable but i guess he is just some alien from krypton

I reckon that might be some of the elements they're selling a more "relatable" Supes with in MOS. The hardworking "blue collar" farm boy with the heart in the right place, despite his heritage. If so it's about damn time.

And don't get me started on the discussion on who would win in a fight. You have people arguing that Batman would win because he has the Lazarus Pit and is immortal. As I said in the comments section, so Superman is lame because he is overpowered but Batman is cool because he is freaking IMMORTAL!? Talk about hypocrisy.

I don't think the relation people have to batman is that they can necessarily relate to him per se, i think it's more at least for me anyways the idea that if any superhero would ever exist in real life it would be batman. I think people have that hope that somewhere there is this eccentric billionaire out there with a grudge and the right resources who can actually set out and fight crime like no average person can. Batman represents the best that someone in the right circumstances can do and become. Superman is still seen as very much godlike and foreign and frankly the last few superman movies didn't do much to change that image. Funny enough i think over the last twenty years Lois and Clark actually did the best of humanizing superman. |

I'm pretty sure I only saw this mentioned on the MoS facebook fan page, but the latest issue of Total Film (just a UK publication as far as I'm aware) has the MoS teaser poster free inside the issue, might have to frame it as it does look pretty good.

It'd be awesome if he won. But he won't.
