Maybe expected at this point. But that doesn't stop me from totally nerdgasming at this news, especially being delivered from Singer himself!

Sweet news.

Looks like X-Men: The Last Stand is getting wiped out of continuity.

Didn't Bryan Singer tweet the other day that he was watching all of the previous films?

Good. I mean, I personally like X3, but I definitely would like for much of it to be retconned or just ignored.

Okay, totally out of the loop on this film but how the hell is all of this suppose to fit together?

I'm getting confused....

Instead of completely ignoring X3, Perhaps they could those events as a catalyst to a much larger threat that requires the use of time travel to prevent such event. Thus using that continuity and erasing it at the same time?

maybe the simplest solution is to make X3 one of multiple outcomes leading towards DOFP.

Maybe the Phoenix is what causes the government to setup the Sentinels.

Singer does is version of a mini-X3 to his X-Men and then we have one of them go back to try and stop their version from happening.

Bryan Singer will likely go one of 2 ways

1:Completly ignoring the Last Stand. Thus If he wants to bring back james marsden and Famke Janssen he can easily do that
2:Keep the returning characters In fuutre those that were alive at end of last stand +Xavier's mind In his twin brother's body but don't reference anything In the Last Stand.

What?? If he is in his twin's body, then obviously you have to acknowledge The Last Stand. You can't just say he's in his twin's body now. Why would he be in the body if he didn't die?

Great news. It's totally weird that only today I was thinking we needed some more news of some kind to keep things moving along.
