So, I just don't see how this can work. With these characters all in one film, how are they going to cover origin stories? Some people know Green Lanterns origin story, but the general audience doesn't know Wonder Woman.

The general audience knows Wonder Woman. She may be a retro relic to them... but they DO know her general story.

Don't. If people want to know Batman's origin, depending on who it is, they can watch Batman Begins or The Dark Knight Rises. If people want to know Superman's origin, they can watch Man of Steel. If people want to know Green Lantern's origin, they can watch Green Lantern. If people want to know The Flash's origin they can wait for the solo movie or watch the TV show. If people want to know Wonder Woman's origin they can watch the animated movie, the TV show (is it in the TV show, I've never seen it), or wait for the solo movie.

Covering the origins or not would just be a detail. It wouldn't hurt or help the quality or box office.

It's debatable whether the origins NEED to be covered. Does every CBM ever have to cover the origins all over again? There are thousands of movies where character's "origins" don't have to come into play or be fully "fleshed out". I think we should be hoping for some good character beats for a bit of exposition, and hopefully a plot that allow each of the characters to shine.

They won't be doing origins in an ensemble film. Not the place for it. Origins will come from solo projects regardless if those projects come before or after JL.

Because there appear to be no real plan or direction in the approach to JL; as well as, how they come together...is reason why I suggest, Superman will indirectly enlist help from others because of the magnitude of the threat. Again, it been stated the MOS will be the launching point of an ensemble film. Everything will begin there. Connect the dots....they are letting it be known this won't follow the same format of the Avengers; and, that their ensemble film is being fast tracked. You all are not connecting the dots or thinking outside the box on how to possibly bring this about.

Agreed. I'd even take a step further and say that WW, GL and Flash have better starting points as a whole than the X-Men did. I'd love to see those origins all told, but it doesn't need to be in the same format as the Avengers. I'd actually like to see the Green Lantern re-introduced as part of a Superman arc. I believe that it was done like that in the Superman animated series and built on for the Justice League animated series (not 100% though).

What Justice League needs is a massive prologue in the same vein as the prologue of the Fellowship of the Ring that sets the entire stage, in terms of plot, character, and mythology.

That's the only way, I think, going from Man of Steel to Justice League is really going to work.

I mean, set up the DC universe on film with this massive 6 minute prologue before the narrative starts.

Tell me that wouldn't work...

That's actually a pretty cool idea. You get the necessary exposition and backstory out of the way in a short period of time.

I would prefer that much, much more rather than having to endure yet another origin story. IMO that would work brilliantly. I can see something like that being sort of retrospective and speaking with reverence about the dawn of the age of heroes and how they came together in mankinds darkest hour of need.

Bingo. That is how you attack the prologue. The dawn of the age of heroes with Man of Steels's Kal-El being the first.

This is exactly how i expected them to do it and im suprised fans didmt think of this before.

A JL movie without solos has many problems-but dealing with origins is not one of them and im quite frankly tired of hearing it

That would absolutely work. Set the tone, establish events and characters. Perfect. I've said all along that LOTR is the model to use.

A LOTR style prologue is actually something I hadn't thought of before and on paper isn't a bad idea. I guess my only problem with it is having such a prologue after Man of Steel.

Yeah. That's really the only problem with the idea. But, they pay screenwriters,especially the good ones, to figure out that sort of thing.

^I don't see how that matters- in relation to MoS.

DC have done it before with Jonah Hex I think. A prologue style introduction could be cool!

I could see that prologue idea working. Especially after MOS. Use him as the stepping stone for heroes to come out from hiding and follow Supe's lead. I like this idea.

Hmm....I predicted this a few weeks ago that Goyer should be given a shot to assist with writing duties on Bealls JL script.

Yeah, plus Goyer would probably tie it into MoS better than Beall since he worked on the movie.
