While I want to be all excited and believe the site...all their scoops seem awfully convenient.

Because they're not scoops. Ford already said he was open to come back. It was only a matter of time.

Yes, I'd much prefer to hear confirmation form Lucasfilm or Ford though. I would consider that confirmation.

if this is true, then the natural story progression would be for the new trilogy to focus on the Solo twins.

When are folks gonna understand the difference between new original story, and anything based on previous material? No Solo Twins...

New original story doesn't mean characters can't be used. New, original, story means the STORY won't be an adaptation or translation or based upon a previously told story in any other media. So they could make Jaina Solo and Ben Skywalker the heroes of the sequel trilogy and not tell a story that has already been told. Seen?

Hopefully, from the perspective of an EU reader, what it means is that the story picks up after Troy Denning's upcoming Crucible, and Christie Golden's upcoming Sword of the Jedi trilogy.... and the heroes of the ST will be Jaina Solo and Ben Skywalker. They are at a perfect place for the actors to portray the characters as they are said to be in the current timeline and we've already got a new generation for them to pass the baton to.

I'd pee my pants if this is true. What's the track record of this El Mayimbe from Latino Review?

Well, Mayimbe said it was confirmed. Luke and Leia are not far behind, if not already locked down for the movie.

I can't answer that for you, it depends on if you trust him or not.

Yeah, I think this almost locks Luke and Leia. You can't have Han returning without them. And you certainly can't bring back Ford and then recast Hamill and Fisher. Those three are a package deal. If Ford has inked a deal, those two can't be far behind.

Then that means as we speak, Mark Hamill is doing crunches.

Pretty cool then. Hamill must be pretty stoked since this is his first movie gig in years. He'll be giving it his all with every step... literally and figuratively.

I think that's the problem with El Mayimbe. None of his scoops are really earth shattering or so far off the mark that you can call him a liar. I find it hard to formulate an opinion about him. |

I tend to agree, once in a while he seems to deliver something but recently anyway he tends to be confirming stuff many of us assumed would logically happen.
