I don't think stupid. In a way, Faora was everything I want to see from Wonder Woman in a film, as far as fighting goes. So saying that somehow the amazonians are descendents of Kara has logic to it, but would pose a series of problens.

That said, I wouldn't use it, and I wouldn't want it to be used. But Diana needs an origin. And you have to explain her, the amazons and the gods.

Yeah...no. If I ever saw a twist like that on film, it would feel like "The Mandarin" in Iron Man 3 again. Plus that would immediately anger any fans that genuinely wanted the real deal for so many years and would cheat them. Not only them you would be angering but also the many Superman/Wonder Woman fan-fic shippers/New-52 Superman/Wonder Woman fans out there with basically converting them into an incestuous relationship.

For those reading this who don't know what we're talking about, it's because of this ridiculous comment I saw in a youtube video(just saving all of you the trouble of finding it in the other thread):

Quote:
"Kara Zor-El should be used to explain Wonder Woman and The Amazons. The ship lands on earth 18000 years earlier, she bred with humans gave birth only to females because her genes are dominate. Her children could only have females. Their life spans should be 1000 years. Amazons are half Kryptonian and half Human. Supergirl would limit all DC films. Its not hard to make the connection with Superman/Wonder Woman or to make the DC Universe Work."

There have been those kinds of theories flying around: that the Kryptonian "growth codex" Kara brought with her created the Amazons, as well as the Atlanteans, thousands of years ago...

It's hard to see that happening. I think if Kara is included in any sequels it will be explained by something like her being buried in ice and she could survive because of her enhanced strength.

btw here is another new interview of Grant Morrison talking about "Wonder Woman: Earth One" -

i was thinking about this yesterday and how those kryptonians could be similar to the annunaki myth or the ancient astronaut theory; and the ancient heroes of the classical era like hercules.

How about Gwendoline Christie who plays brianne of tarth on Game of thrones? She's 6'3" and has some experience wielding a sword on camera, she's pretty damn amazonian. I know in some incarnations wonder woman is depicted as pretty damn tall like taller than superman even.

Yeah she's definitely not hollywood standard beauty but Hollywood's already tried that with past failed female fronted super-hero flicks.

Why not go for broke with someone who exemplifies a lot of the traits of wonder-woman and can actually act?

She's probably one of the only actresses i would believe could go head to head with superman.

maybe as Artemis?

I mean, if there is one thing MoS has taught us (well, really though, there are indeed many things MoS has taught us) it's that they aren't averse to using DC TV actors. I mean the guy who played Emil and the Kryptonian scientist?

She really did step up her game for GI Joe, I wouldn't mind seeing her again in some fashion.

Despite how crap that pilot was, Adrianne was good in the role.

She was tough, but I like her softer side when she saw Steve again.

I wouldn't complain if she was brought back.

She'll probably not get the role again due to the pilot, but I wouldn't mind her in some other role.

Eh not a lot of the GA knows about the pilot or that she's connected to it. It would just be something for her to talk about in interviews like Cavill and Superman: Flyby. I think she still has a shot she was the best part of that pilot.

Someone has to be

But yeah, she needs to stay away. After GI Joe 2, I warmed up to her for Gamora in GotG, but no dice.

I'm sure she'll get her super heroine shot again, but she is no WW, and I stand by saying she was one of the worst things about that pilot, and it wasn't just the writing.
