Default "This is the end of Spider-Man" True?

Is it me or does anyone now have a lackluster feeling about this film given the viewing of the second trailer.

Are you more excited or less excited now?

I'm more excited than ever. They have done an outstanding job with the hype for this movie.

No more excited than I already was. The first trailer raised expectations and this matched them. Even if we didn't see Venom (which is obviously disappointing), we'll see him at some point.

They might take the series in another direction after 3, new director, new actors..... in a way this could be the end of the trilogy. But seriously, i hope those rumors of parker showing everyone that he is spiderman are false.

And how come harry says "you knew this was coming pete" in such a normal everyday voice? Definetly not very emotional there (as it should be). I hope its just the editing that made it sound so... ordinary.

I'm not excited at all. Some rather horrendous 3D in the trailer.
The fuzzy comic con trailer is a million times better. Thank god I still have a link to that.
They should have expanded on THAT trailer but I fear that they had to go THIS route because 3 villains is too much to set up in 2 mins.

i liked the new trailer .. i didnt think they would show venom yet anyway,
i think Sandman looks ace they have done a good job on making him come to life on the big screen .. and i also think there is more films to come with the cast they have got, cos money talks..................BIG MONEY

It could be taken from a scene as bland as the birthday party in Spidey 2.

from AICN

"The WHOLE reason peter becomes Spiderman is because the guy he let go...ended up hurting someone...(his uncle). By having sandman kill his uncle, that makes it that peter had no control over it. This is spiderman's origin...you don't go changing that. To add to that. It's even more retarded that the guy who just happened to have killed his uncle...just happens to become a supervillian."

Sums up what I think their new sandman-kills-uncle angle.

SM2 was able to somewhat make me a bit teary-eyed, with Peter finally getting MJ after all those troubles..... even in the preview, I found SM2 to be more engaging, felt like it was going to be a good continuation of the first movie... but SM3 looks like its going off into the "lets cram as much CGI and fight scenes as possible" route, and add in a bit of forced emotional spice, like, SANDMAN KILLED YOUR DADDY! stuff..... definetly feeling less excited vs before after seeing this trailer.

I have a feeling Sandman will turn out not to be Uncle Ben's actual killer. I think Spider-Man will inadvertedly kill Sandman and then find out he had nothing to do with Uncle Ben, reinforcing the guilt.

THEY HAVE MONTHS TO PERFECT IT. THE CG ISN'T DONE YET AND YOU SHOULDN'T EXPECT IT TO BE.

That trailer wasn't meant to be seen by you and me, so we are not supposed to expect something better.

You fanboys are the most hardest to please people on the internet, you're the same people who hated SR yet embrace X3, it's mind-boggling.

Well SR was just about the most BORING superhero movie I have ever watched (I think half the theater fell asleep by the 2nd half of that movie).... X3, as fast paced and well short for its own good, was a fun entertaining movie that didnt leave me wanting to yawn. SM3 on the other hand is building up to be an epic, hopefully it will stay on the same level as sm1 and sm2, and not become something entirely different.

I bet that sandman didn't kill his uncle. That somehow it will end up being a mix up. Because thats a big spoiler so why put it in the trailers?

i was hoping to see venom too, but after not getting him i was relieved...i don't want them to show everything to us. i still want to have the shock an awe of seeing him for the first time in the movie. i still want the feeling of anticipation of going to see him. i'm glad they didn't show him, and hope they won't. and they probably won't. at comic con they showed that one little bit of him just to butter up the audience and it worked. but on a trailer for the whole public i doubt it.

The release of the ComicCon footage was a masterstroke, intentional or not. I don't want to see a full shot of Venom before the film but I'm sure a little exposure wouldn't hurt. Maybe we'll get a finger in the final trailer.

i thot the part where harry says you knew this was coming pete was great. it was almost like harry is becoming a bit sociopathic. he seems like hes killing his best friend and hes lost all emotion after what hes been through.

i dono maybe its just me but i like it.

It's the same every time.. people are always *****ing! Nothing is ever good enough!! The same happened with the spidey 2 trailer... People adjusted lighting and contrast to the still image of spidey on the pole inside the train to make it look better... how pathetic is that!!! This new trailer kicks so much ****ing hardcore BUTT that the half would be enough!!!!!! spidey 3 will be the best of them all! Have a little faith in Raimi, will ya! Has he let us down so far!?? NO! Then dont start up this bull**** because of a trailer that didn't show you that black ass venom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

They still have about a year to smooth over any rough edges.
