I thought it was impossible for to me have more faith in this movie but, after seeing the latest stuff, it's happened.

A TV spot just aired at the end of Prison Break. It did not look new to me

Yeah, I just saw the 3rd TV spot on Cartoon Network a little while ago during Futurama, and I want to correct myself in what the Goth Girl said before it ended.

She said "It was a rough LOOP, but he totally pulled it off!" (I originally thought she said a "rough EDGE") She is, of course, talking about Gr's ride off of the roof I believe.

Plus, what the heck, I thought tonight's new episode of "Heroes" was supposed to be sponsored by GR and have a commercial for it? We did get a cool "Special Preview" (thats what they called it, it was like a minute and 1/2 long) of the film "300" during Heroes, and that film looks absolutely amazing, but still...I wanted GR!

Yeah, I think I called that Heroes was sponsered by GR, my fault. I heard it from someone over at the 'Rama or such. You know how unreliable some places can be at times. My apologies. I was confused too.

is it me or does it feel like they are really trying to push ghost rider as a comical almost family film? I just get that vibe from some of the new tv spots that just bugs the hell out of me.

I thought there would have been a commerical or 2 for GR last night on Heroes as well, expecially when I found out it was being presented by GR last week. Damn shame.

300 looks spectacular, though.

It's ok buddy...the 300 special was cool to see. I'm really looking forward to that one too...but not as much as GR!

It may seem like that, but I don't think they are going for a "family" feel to the film.

The marketing just looks like that so they can draw attention to everyone...this is a film anyone can like. It has action, horror, romance, more action, Nicolas Cage, more action, a flaming skull, and a little more action.

It's designed for all ages I think, unless you're under 13.

The TV ads are killing this movie for me. It looks cheezy and stupid now...the teaser trailers were a lot better and made me a believer. But now I'm not so sure...so...if we're dissapointed on opening day...I'm calling it now. I'll still be seeing this at midnite probably...but my personal hype meter is getting lower.

I bet this film tanks at the box office, but will end up being a sleeper hit on dvd and through word of mouth. In other words, with all the latest footage, i think this film looks awesom.

Does the recent TV spot seem to make the Ghost Rider movie a comedy....Nick Cage was doing a string of one-liners and silly quips about his head feeling like it's on fire...etc.

Cool Re: TV Spots and Commercials

Yeah, they're really pushing the humor in these spots. It's a good idea marketing wise (these spots are testing really big numbers) but not necessarily representative of the movie. There's certainly humor in the movie and its a great ride, but it's a lot more intense than these ads would lead you to believe. Remember, we're all used to the Ghost Rider, but to the uninitiated, he's a very intense and intimidating looking character with a dark background. Enough to keep some people away. So they're making an effort to let people know that it's not just a macabre horror flick. But rest assured, the movie is intense!

Hey MSJ! I always miss you dude!

But seriously, it's great to hear from you again...and yeah, people thinking that GR is just a horror flick is a little ridiculous...there is the love story, action, AND the horror...but I guess everyone loves their comedy too! I've laughed quite a few times during some of those spots...it's great to hear from you buddy!

The first look is best we've seen to show what you're talkin' about. You really get the mood you've got goin' on there with that spot. The overall look and feel of the film is easily obtained from that footage I feel, and it feels great!

I think the marketing is going very well so far. You're right, they're doin' a smart thing by pushin' the love and humor. What's really awesome about it is that some people aren't gonna be prepared for the intensity, thus shockin' the **** outta them. Mwa HaHa.

It looks and sounds awesome. I can't wait for my ride.
