I really have no idea. I know it was during Spidey 1 & all the mania suronding it. I think I typed in Spider-Man one day & that's how it showed up.

I can't remember which one, but it was some search engine I used.
Years back I was searching for info on the first Spidey flick and found Spider-Man Hype. I checked out the boards from time to time even after the movie was out and gone, but I didn't end up joining until a couple years later when I got back into comics.

It was back in 2001. I was searching for some Spidey 1 info and found Spider-Man Hype. I didn't join the message board cause I didn't really care. I was just interested in the news. Then, in July 2002 I joined cause I wanted to talk about the "upcoming" Batman vs. Superman movie.

I don't remember... even though it wasn't long ago... but I now I used to read long before I signed up, I thought i'd be treated inferiorly because I wasn't as educated on superheroes as a lot of you see, but as it turns out this forum has taught me a lot!

Back when it was Spider-Man hype, I scoured the news section diligently. After awhile, it became SHH, and then I discovered that there was *gasp* message boards.
Been here ever since.

I was on the Sony site and getting all this news and when the Black suit came out there was a link to SHH so I check the main page. I noticed it said want to talk about it or discuss or something and I was like "Hell yeah I want to talk about it!"
 And now you can't get rid of me.

I don't remember not knowing about the hype but I think I found it over google. I had been fallowing since Spider-Man Hype! and I didn't join until I found out some news about X3 when it was in it's early stages so i got an account to post it
