From the clips I saw of it, it looks like a good movie, but good f**king God that MUSIC...it just takes me out of it, man.
I just can't take this movie seriously as an epic movie about robots beating the s**t out of each other with some whiney 80's rock band singing "YOU GOT THE TOUCH, you got the POOOOOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEER..." |

"It all started with a cartoon and a line of action figures"....WRONG (geez do some research), it all started with Diaclone and a bunch of other Japanese toylines and a comic book written by Bob Budinsky, NOT the cartoon, the cartoon came last.

I like this guy. But he jumps to conclusions, and I'm not always sure whether he knows what he is talking about. He shoots from the hip too much, and while some of what he says is spot on, a lot seems to be nostalgia filled propaganda. I agree Transformers is a fun movie to watch, and one I have repeat viewed even into my adult years, but it doesn't deserve too much analysis.
A nice thing to note about the film...it openned on my birthday. Last edited by ShadowBoxing; 07-14-2007 at 08:46 PM. |

I apologize, but any movie that tries to put that song in with a straight face deserves to be mocked.

No. Call of the Primatives and Five Faces of Darkness would be the ones to explore that.

Call of the Primatives does not explain anything about the matrix. It was an animation error on the part of the company that did that epp.It was not the intention of the writers to connect the matrix to Primacon's aid.The animation house was givin a bunch of designs and a script but no history on the charters.
