I will give it this. Put it on with me and my friends in the room, and it's a great way to kill 90 minutes while doing MST3k style commentary to it.

While I enjoyed the movie, I tried to work out watching it & I absolutely couldn't.

but badass batman was gone. this is part that i hated. batman was a smirking grinning fool. keaton was badass as the bat, he had a real tough take-no-bull attitude that was awsome. kilmer only had a few moments of "badass", and clooney wasnt badass at all.

They turned Bane into the Hulk. Although I loved that we got Bane, he could've been that cunning genius we got in TAS & in the comics. Poison Ivy just sucked altogether.

I was in...3rd grade when this came out. I went to see it because it had Mr. Freeze as the villain. I had to leave the theatre when they showed Bane's transformation. It made me sick...yet I was able to sit through Batman Returns, tic-tac-toe face, Penguin bile and all without flinching. Weird, eh?

Yeah, Bane's look (mainly his arms) made me feel queasy at first too but I got used to it.
So, do you want Bane to reappear in the new franchise? |

I'd like to see it, but I'm running against the current, it would seem. Most want him to appear as a hitman of sorts for a mobster like he did in TAS. Myself, I'd like to see him as a leader in the League of Shadows if the Lazarus Pit doesn't exist in Nolan's continuity, and if Talia never makes it as a love interest.
The "son" that didn't rebuke his "father." I'd save the mob hitman role for Freeze, believe it or not.

I wouldn't mind that but as far as his look goes, I want to see the look of Bane from "The Batman" to be put into a live action Batman movie. He could've had some sort of accident that messes up his skin & he later acquires the serum.

I kinda liked him as well. But with the red skin, he looked more like a mutant. That role should be saved for Killer Croc, I think. Maybe Penguin; Burton's take is my favorite, as far as appearances go. Speaking of Bane's arms, is it true that the guy that played him was actually pretty fat?

He wouldn't have to be a mutant, he could either just have had an accident. As for the guy who played Bane, he was a professional wrestler so I guess he wasn't all fat but the guy is dead now.

That's because no one had heard that it sucked yet. I remember my dad taking me and my cousin at the time, and I thought it was alright. I had a t-shirt featuring the logo...I'm a big bat nut. The movie now holds nothing to me except memories of a cool t-shirt and my cousin...I was 13 at the time.

Yeah, it's like the action builds up and then slows down for a long ass time. If you want to watch a movie that'll put you asleep, watch B&R. I guaranteee it'll work every time.

I enjoyed certain aspects of B&R but even though I enjoyed it, it's still a horrible movie.

Schumacher's vision of Arkham was very cool. The was it is and should be. Nolan's vision is an everyday nut house, and regular hospital.
I would have love to see to what Burton would have done with Arkham. Positive Things 1. Bruce Wayne - Clooney played the Billionare play boy very well and more a father figure to Dick Grayson. 2. Alfred - The story for him was very good. 3. Arkham of course. 4. Mr. Freeze - Very tragic character. 5. Gotham City. I really liked this version of it, very wild but no too neon lighted as in was in BF. Negative Things. 1. The whole Batgirl character 2. Bane - this version was just stupid. i'm not saying I liked it or not. He was stupid. 3. Robin's suit 4. Batman - Keaton, Bale, and even Kilmer made Bruce Wayne and Batman two different people. Clooney really didn't try that. Last edited by Gotham22; 03-01-2008 at 05:31 PM. |
