We have more word from retailer conference Destination PlayStation: the DualShock 3—you know, that DualShock we've been waiting for since the PS3's launch—has gotten a US release date.

Set to launch April 15th for $54.99, it's slated to coincide with the release of GT5 Prologue. Oh yes, feel those engines roar through your controller and make your SIXAXIS-wielding friends envious...like they're just playing a video game or something.

I'm more curious if Sony will put the Dualshock in the Playstation 3s instead of the SIXAXIS.

They're really good, nice weight and the rumble is a godsend but the price is a rip off to be honest... I got mine on eBay for a hell of a lot less than what they're stating there. At exchange rates it probably cost around $40

Seems so. The DS3 will be in the MGS4 bundle in June.

I PICKED UP A DS3 A FEW DAYS AGO, IT'S FREAKING AWESOME!!! I TRIED IT WITH WARHAWK SINCE I USE THE MOTION CONTROLS FOR THE VEHICLES, WHICH WORK REALLY WELL IN THE GAME, SO I COULD GET A FEEL OF HOW THE MOTION CONTROLS WORK WITH THE RUMBLE, IT'S AWESOME!!! THE CONTROLLER FEELS HEAVIER, STURDIER, AND VERY SOLID IN YOUR HANDS, IT HAS THE PERFECT AMOUNT OF WEIGHT AND TO DRIVE A TANK WITH MOTION CONTROLS WHILE FEELING THE VIBRATIONS OF THE CANNON WHILE YOU'RE BLASTING AWAY AT SOME NOOB, WELL IT JUST DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER THEN THAT, 10/10!!!

When asked about it a few months ago, IW said they had no current plans. But that was a while ago, so things could have changed. I think they were more focused on getting patches for their server issues, making DLC and in game XMB support (which they still cant release since Sony hasnt included it in any firmware updates)

You can import the white one off of Playasia. I know Japan also has a silver one. I dont think there are current plans on doing colors across the spectrum

Hmm.. Sweet. I picked my DS3 up today and played a little Devil may cry 4 with it. Its nice I like the weight as opposed to the regular Sixaxis. I like that Metal finish DS3 they have on playasia.
