X-Men 4? They should just make a new X-Men 3 and start it off with a disclaimer...

Or they could wait, then come back with Xmen Returns with brian singer directing it and ignore X3 completely.

Ohh.... If Bryan direct X4 one day....... that would be so great.... but I don't see it happening. mostly because of Fox, and then, because X3 not being a creation of him, like the previous two. In some form, he lost the franchise own.

That's what the WB needs to do when they reboot Superman. At least with X-men 3 I knew it was a sequel to X-men 1 and 2 where Superman Returns copied almost everything from Donner's movie even though it wasn't a sequel, talk about confusing add that with the horrible way they executed the kid sub-plot. Give me X-Men 3 over Superman Returns any day

Superman Returns is a sequel to Donner's movie, and, yes, it did borrow from it.

I still stick by what I said about a year ago.

i really dont see how they could do more. they killed off the sweetest characters and left huge plot holes. but i suppose it would be sweet if maybe they followed with the age of apocalypse or something of the sort

Over in the Superman boards they said it was not a sequel it's just set in the same universe based on interviews Singer gave, good luck figuring out that one. Although there are other reasons that one is the biggest reason I hate Superman Returns. X-Men 3 was nowhere near the mess that movie turned out to be IMO.

Superman returns was a better movie than X3, in my opinion, and better directed.

They left a lot that needs to be addressed. That's for sure. I just don't see it happening though.

I guess I consider it a sequel since it stems form and continues pre-existing work. After that, I can understand the confusion regarding the vague history.

We're not going to see another X-Men movie for a long time; not before 2012, I would think. It just seems that there's no support for another one from the studios, not with the current people in charge of Fox.

I'd say 2011.

X4 would be so expensive and complicated if they wanted to bring back the original cast.

I'm expecting the next team film to be something entirely different, with a mostly new cast and maybe a couple of alumni returning.

Who knows - the Young X-Men spin-off may be the next trilogy idea for Fox?

If DOFP is indeed X4, then the answer to this poll is 2014 .
