Default Quick Question

I have been reading up on my Iron Man (I have the complete collection CD, it's so awesome ), but I have a quick question regarding something in the movie. In the previews and such they've been hyping up the Mark II armor, which is basically a grey version of the classic Iron Man armor. Does this armor appear at all in the comics or is it an invention from the movie? If it is in the comics when?
