I'm glad, i wasn't the only one that saw the mention to the Blackbird (X-Men) nod. At first i thought they just ment a regular plane, then it dawned upon me, it was a nod to those friendly bunch of mutants.

When I saw it today I did notice the Cpt. America shield emblem in his work shop when he's trying to remove his armor.

The sheer mention of space flight could lead to the Avengers movie being about a Skrull or Kree invasion.

Hey guys. In regards to Cap's shield.
About Heroes brought it to my attention. They might have posted a couple images that found somewhere. To me, it clearly looks like Cap's shield.

Looks pretty clear to me. Whether it's there for a reason or just an easter egg is a different story. I'd place it as an easter egg though.

I noticed the Cap's shield now on the second time. Forgot to keep and eye for the X-Men's Blackbird!
Me too. Maybe Stark's a huge fan of WWII Cap and wants to make a replica of the shield for himself? Or maybe someone (Cap/S.H.I.E.L.D.) ordered unanimously that shield from Stark Industries? At another board someone said "I've heard that there's Baxter Building in the film and Hulk's face at a newspaper." Any truth to these?

Wow.. some of you have good eyes. I only caught a few of these. The most obvious was the ten rings (or at least some of them), where I suspect one of them was Obadiah's ring.
The Whiplash and Robocop references. Nice finds! And Cap's shield is just gold.

Ath the end when the Shield guy was telling Tony to read from the card and said something along the lines that this wasn't his first go around.
Can be taken as he'd helped other superheros cover things up.

I saw that pic posted by powerbomb and I think I need to see the movie again. Looks like it could just be more tech stuff with the same colors in that lighting. But I'm not saying no either cause it does have a resemblence, but the star looks off center to me.
Either, now that I've read this whole thread, I can't wait to see it again! I liked the ringtone easter egg. I don't read any Iron Man comics (well, I just started) so that was really the only one I picked up. |
