I simply have not been able to stop listening to "fireman." It sounds exactly the way a marvel superhero should, and it gives me goosebumps.

I'll PayPal the first person who sends me an MP3 of themselves whistling this "IronMan theme" that doesn't exist - $2 bucks.

The only memorable music in this film has been around since the 80s.

I think he was talking about ACDC's "Back in Black". I personally liked the score. Just bought it off iTunes myself.

I loved the score, and thought it suited the film perfectly. My favourite tracks are Arc Reaktor, Mark 2 and Vacations Over.

can someone help confirm this? As I was walking out during the credits, I coulda sworn i heard a different version of the Black Sabbath's Iron Man playing. I think it was just the instrumental and also it sounded alot like Tom Morello's guitaring.

If I recall it didnt even sound like the instrumental of Sabbaths version. I didnt get to hear but a second of it because the theater I wa sin chose to not show the credits (or bonus scene afterwards) so I threw a fit and then went into another theater to catch the bonus scene.
Im fairly certain it wasnt the original though...sound very different. |

Fantastic score. Absolutely loving Iron Man's theme and it's the only one I can actually see myself listening to on the train. All the other themes fit the heroes just fine (The X-men couldn't seem to find their's though) and so did this one. The whole score was just badass and fit an action summer blockbuster perfectly. Not many heroes can pull off a score like this and it's a breath of fresh air to find one that can among all the blairing violins and tubas.

I have one basic line of thoughton soundtracks (because Im an idiot):
I dont want to notice them. Generally, if I am watching a movie and notice the background music, then it sucks. I want ti to flow with the movie, not hit me over the head. That said, I noticed Iron Man's music...and I like dit anyway. So that says something...I'm just not sure what. |

I'm actually the opposite. I like noticing music. It helps the scene flow even better for me. Like Spider-man 2's soundtrack when Doc Ock's theme would come on whenever he showed up. Or Green Goblin's and Sandman's for that matter.

Or it could just be a theme that you're deaf to...And by the looks of things, the only one here that is.

I thought the score was mediocre for the most part. There was a tad of a theme in there, but it wasn't big enough nor memorable.
Just saying, the original Batman and Superman movies had big, epic, film scores. They had these excellent marches. Why can't the new movies have something like that? I think there might've been some stuff in Iron Man could be used in the future, but it needs to be amped up big time. Also drop the hard rock music besides the Black Sabbath stuff.

Nice.
Personally, Spiderman's score is my favorite Marvel score by a long shot. Although Iron Man's is pretty cool, and and it really suprised me. Some of my other favorite scores include, Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider(Orchestral), and some X-men.
