The reporter barely had five minutes on screen. She was a reporter who not only understood Tony's assorted history but took him to task for it (unlike Pepper who needed Tony to wake her to the bad things he's done in his career) seconds after meeting Stark for the first time.

Bibb's character wasn't the love interest, either. If she was I bet they'd have made her much more appealing and given her more screen time.

That's pretty much exactly what I was saying too.

I'm surprised people know her first name. She looks like the typical boring skinny blonde that you see in clothing and fashion magazines. Where you think your seeing the same blond in different clothes then realize they're different girls but look that much alike.

Just doesn't do it for me.

I liked Bilbo better... Paltrow was never that hot... I mean she's pretty and all but the freckles and the body are meh. And the hair only looked good in the party scene. I mean I'd date Paltrow but we are talking about a one night **** here.

I think that was the point. They wanted her to look like your average hot blonde since she was an expendable character there to show Stark's image to the public while showing how much of a ladies man he is.

I do like the idea of her coming back in the sequel, even as a cameo.

I think there was a lot more to Bibb's character than just a couple of scenes here and there... her scene with Tony at the party really showed the potential to expand on the character... I mean she's like the fourth or fifth most important character in the franchise next to who? Agent Coulson? Unless I am missing someone. The sequel can have her covering Stark's public image... maybe she writes more **** about Tony for this IM gig. Just a thought...

she's gotta be an important character in the next flick, seeing as she's the head reporter in the film.
she could either protect him in the press, or defame him. kinda like what Katie Holmes did in Thank You For Smoking. she banged the guy for some inside scoop, then turned her back on him, and *****ed him over.

Leslie Bibb was beautiful (I generally don't see the appeal of Gwyneth, not even in movies like Shakespeare in love and Cruel intentions were supposedly she was in her prime) but I gotta say, when I saw her practically devouring Robert Downey Jr. on the bed and acting like a nimpho, that was totally unsexy and unattractive to me. As was the falling off the bed.

Well said, I think it was portrayed well i the film. Bibb is good for a romp in the sack, but Paltrow has the "girl next door" thing going for her.
