Caviezel would be excellent but is devout Catholic I doubt he would do it. Not saying anything against him I actually respect him for having such strong convictions. He has played villians before but only if they end up paying for it in the end. He is not the most popular guy at all... thus, a major hollywood name may heavily over-shadow the character. As in, Dr. Strange being seen as a Johnny Depp movie, rather than about Dr. Strange the character.

I think I prefer someone like Fiennes, but again... Jim Caveizel is my top pick.

You know this might be quirky enough for Depp to do it! And you know if he comes Burton would probably as well! Actually Guy Pierce might be more likely. Reeves and Walberg are both the same type of actors. It always seems like they'r playing the same character in every movie!

Rather than Mephisto (although, Tim Currie's "Darkness" in Legend is one of my top movie... beasts... and his performance was total aces), I am pulling for Dormamu:

Voiced by Frank Welker (voice of Megatron, 1980s cartoon).

Because the effect on that character has the buring head appearance that makes me think of Dormamu... I know the movie was mega-lame (I have a 5 year old that loves Ben10, so I sat through it).

Playing devils advocate here (no pun indended);

Would the general audience (who would not be familiar with the characters the way we are) confuse Dormamu with Ghost Rider purely because of the flaming head thing?

Am I short-changing the G.A. here or are there people out there who could be that dense?

I don't think it would be an issue... I mean having a guy decked out in fancy red clothes, called 'Dormamu'... stepping through a dimensional portal, and casting eldrich bolts, should be fairly distinctive from GR.

Have his face be clearly red (as in the Ben10 pic), as opposed to GR's skull... I think it would be OK.
