Assuming The Fallen is the villain, would you have preferred someone else?

To significantly up the stakes for the 2nd movie and provide a different threat. I have heard one or two on here think that The Fallen isnt the way to go for the sequel (again, assuming he is the villain), and I myself am a big fan of the likes of Shockwave and Galvatron (though I think a second movie is too early for him), I just wonder, would the fans have preferred a different villain?

Cast your votes.

Personally, my first choice would have been Starscream and Shockwave fighting for leadership the whole movie with Megatron coming back at the end. BUT, I don believe The Fallen could turn out to be an inspired choice if they do him right.

I think Fallen could be cool if they use him to lead to Unicron in the third. End the trilogy with a BANG. Plus not many people know too much or care too much about Fallen, so they can take liberties with his character and not piss off too many fans. But after the first movie basically just had a cameo of Decepticon characterization, I'd prefer just some good ol' fashioned Megatron and Starscream.

^I know what you mean, it would have been nice to just see Megatron and Starscream at odds for the whole movie. BUT, I understand from a film-making point of view the needs to up the stakes. And The Fallen does offer some exciting possibilities if done right.

four films, this brings in galvatron arc, back to megs in the third, galvatron and unicron for the last.

easy peasy.

I don't mind the liberties being taken with the main evil character as long as the other decepticons can act as themselves

I think they should bring in unicron, whats transformers without a giant planet eating machine. But lets hope it don't look like galactus from FF2.

I would have liked Unicron or Galvatron. I would've liked to have Unicron not fully seen, just like a character who just watches over everyone and doesn't strike until the last movie.

Although I like Volton 4's idea of him not being seen until the 3rd movie.

I would much rather see more of Megatron instead of a "new" threat causing the two sides to team up regardless of the capacity. The Decepticons were extremely underdeveloped in the first film imo, and Megs appearance was more or less a cameo.

Seeing Megatron and Shockwave at odds for the whole movie would just be a dream come true for me, I hope we get to see it in a TF movie someday.

But I am interested in what they do with The Fallen as well. So long as he is just one bot and not the rumoured 13 bot army.

^Well there is a character called The Fallen in the TF comics, he is one of the original 13 Transformers, but he turned bad.

Expanded Megatron role is probably the best. He (and really all of the decepticons) had little to do in the first film besides fire on things and blow up.

If not that, I'd pick Starscream and Shockwave feuding for the whole film until Megatron comes back or Megatron just coming back as Galvatron.

Basically the first movie treated all the Decepticons except Frenzy and Barricade as lumbering behemoth monsters that growled and attacked anything on sight for the most part. They need to amp up their personality traits a little more as they did with the Autobots. They don't have to be goofy funny like some of them were in the G1 cartoon, but I would like to see one Decepticon just be somewhat sarcastic and insulting to the Autobots or even his own team.

I think that would have been awesome to see, and even when Megatron comes back, him and Shockwave could be at odds. Would love to have seen Starscream being cocky and Shockwave beating him for it.
