For me, it HAS to be George Perez...
![]() ![]() ![]() I love his battle scenes...he's great at showing two teams of heroes throwing down... ![]() And of course; he draws some of the most beautiful women at Marvel...

Kirby's art kicked butt as well. Great Kirby Avengers scans from issue's 4 and 5.

Another great Avengers artist: John Buscema.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This was such a great issue. The Vision was once my favorite Avenger...he's been screwed up a lot over the past few years, but at least we still have great storylines, such as this one; "Even An Android Can Cry", when the team accepts him and offers him membership.

Another great Avengers artist; John Byrne
![]() ![]() ![]() from Avengers #166; a GREAT battle with Count Nefaria, who has just kicked the crap out of all of the Avengers single-handedly, until The Mighty Thor shows up and bails them out... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

And the battle rages on:
![]() Then Nefaria's top scientist reveals that Nafaria's aging process has unfortunately been accelerated due to his new found super powers: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sidenote; i love the tension between Cap and Iron Man on the final page. This theme was actually explored for several issues during this era, culminating when the two heroes actually come to blows. An unfortunate preview of sorts to Civil War, many years later... I'll get a lot of crap for this but as a new Avengers reader, I'll go with Finch.

I know The Ultimates and The Avengers are kind of two separate entities but I have to go with Bryan Hitch!

Personally I'd rate Sal or John Buscema as the best Avengers artist!
