Yeah, I just can't take my eyes off of the screen when she appears... Thor would be a very lucky guy (ok, lucky god) if she were cast.

Cobie is my main choice for Lois Lane in the reboot, but I'd be very happy with her as Sif, too.

I'd prefer someone who looks a little more Greek as Wonder Woman. Darker features than Cobie, at least.

Then again, I wouldn't boycott the movie if she were cast or anything. I think she'd do a great job.

If we're talking about the Cobie chick, then it's a NO for me on wonder woman. Not at all what I have in mind for that role.

Maybe Lois lane would fit.

yeah, that wasn't quite written right. Unless there is an actress named Lois Lane.

Soooooo... let me rephrase it... Is there anyone in the world, besides me, that would like her as WW?

She wouldn't be my last choice, if it's any consolation.

Nor mine, I'd not complain if she got it, she's just not in my top 10. I'd certainly prefer her to Megan Gale, though.

And, Canis, Cobie for WW has lots of supporters, take a look through the WW thread

Yeah, I first heard about her because of people suggesting her for Wonder Woman. It wasn't until months after that that I actually sat down and watched How I Met Your Mother.

Natalie Portman as Sif?

Quote:
Right now, Marvel Studios and its newly hired director Kenneth Branagh are wrestling with the difficulty of casting Thor. Sure, there's a big push to cast Josh Hartnett either in the winged helmet and/or as nemesis Loki, which is ironic since Warner Bros once upon a time threw an amazing amount of money at him to play Superman but he refused. But my sources say there's an equally powerful lobby to cast an unknown. I've heard that, besides Hartnett, the following actors are being tested: Charlie Hunnam (the British co-star of the F/X series Sons Of Anarchy); Tom Hiddleston (award-winning British actor and RADA graduate who played Winston Churchill's son in HBO's The Gathering Storm), Alexandar Skarsgard (Stellan's son who has appeared in the HBO Iraq War miniseries Generation Kill and vampire drama True Blood, and who's definitely visually right for the role), and Joel Kinnaman (some Danish dude). Meanwhile, I'm told Natalie Portman is in the lead for the female lead. (So I guess Marvel wants a wooden performance...)

That's certainly interesting. Thanks for that, in fact, you should give that news report its own thread

Really? To me it makes more sense to keep all of these little casting reports in the casting threads until the cast is actually announced

AAARGH, NO! Why must great news like Alex Skarsgard being the frontrunner for Thor be tempered with s***ty news like Hartnett for Loki and now Portman for Sif? Bleh. I had to go like 5 years with Spider-Man's movies being "good (except for Kirsten Dunst as MJ)." I don't want to have to mention qualifiers every time I talk about Thor's movie, too.

Yeah i figure it's casting rumors for Thor, Sif, and Loki from a VERY reliable source, and names like Portman would get extra people interested.

Just what I wanted, a toothpick running across the screen.

Are there any other chick roles in the first film. I'd like to have something good to look at.
