I think so far this season has done that but it's still too early to see if this is the truning point. I do hope so.

It's only been like 3 episodes. Too early to tell if it blows or if it's good.

I think the first three episodes have already been above Volume 3-level though. If it keeps this level of quality by the halfway mark it'll probably be above 2 and 4 for sure.

As long as the show stays the hell away from any time travel and just focuses on the characters using their powers to save lives and fight bad guys, the show will be fine.

They already had time travel come back in the first two episodes though. And it's suggested that there is a lot more where that came from.

It seems like he disappeared. I don't think he's going to be in this season unless maybe they're planning something for him later.

Just to ask this... but hasn't every start of each volume had people saying, "Could this be the best volume since the first?" and just eventually ended in disappointment?

Last nights episode was brutal. It was such a chore to watch.

Well I've at least liked what they've been doing with Peter. Kill off both Hiro and Claire and they'd make the show ten times better IMO.

I think if the show was mainly Peter's story, it would be way better. Too many stories always slowed things down with this show, and Hiro and Claire's storylines aren't that interesting.

EVERY volume starts off promising. It takes a few episodes for it to sink it how much it really sucks.

I've fallen asleep every episode multiple times this season.

Even during the premier. So no, it's not anywhere near as good as any of the other seasons.

The ONLY thing that I've enjoyed out of all the episodes so far was the Parkman/Sylar interactions. Everything else is garbage.
