I have this sad feeling...I like Tennant alot and I respect what he's said about how he loves the role, but if he doesn't walk away he'll do it forever (which I would gather that most wouldn't care) but they've crafted this legend of the Doctor that 10 and now 11 different actors have carried through the years and I think thats cool too...no other show or film has done that

as for the specials, it is interesting to see the Doctor on his own

I'm looking forward to the return of a regular companion. I hope the new Doctor and the new companion have good chemistry.

According to Tennant from Comic Con the Jacket gets compromised. I just think he's going to drape it over a dead person.

Russel T Davies era: To sum it up, everything has to be blown up, shredded and destroyed

but there have only been 5 actors and those are movies...this was a weekly series with a ****load of continuity...moreso than the Bond films...I admire the people who kept it together

I saw the Graham Norton show this past weekend and he was on and he said "If I didn't leave, I'd do it until they wheeled me out"

and I hope to see the pilot...is he keeping his accent or doing an American one?

I'm sure a lot of people would be happier if he never left. I'm curious about the NBC thing... what was it again?

Dr Who has poor continuity at the best of times, most of the entire lore is built up from throw away lines...

And I wish that they could wheel out some more old companions, I'm sure they'd love to come back if asked...

really? I guess that's my lack of old series Who knowledge then...I know there was some issues with U.N.I.T. and the Doctors family and random things

I didn't like UNIT until the Sontaram Strategem, thought the red berets looked goofy

From what I've heard, his longcoat gets blown up as well. This will be sad, for the coat is awesome.

Exactly. I love how just because of 1 throw away line to explain why The Master is looking so bad in The Deadly Assassin, every is currently screaming "WHAT WILL THE DOCTOR DO WHEN HE HITS THE 12TH REGENERATION?!?!?!?! "

It's brilliant at time, it had no idea what it was doing and built up an amazing universe full of all this fantastic stuff by accident...

Indeed. Who would have thought that the show that started 46 years ago on a cold November night would have grown into what we have now?

You know I shouldn't really be getting on to you cause I have a big pile of stuff to get through... 12 classics to watch at some point, with 2 more coming in January along with the last Tennant stuff...

Damnit, all I'm going to buy that month is Dr Who stuff

Same here. Once I do my boxset catch up plan, I'm gonna have no space either.

You totally have the dvds. Don't you want an impressive collection with each story having more features than the entire Star Wars OT?

They really are the best dvds ever created. Every story gets more treatment than entire series of famous american series X.

Infact most of the features are worth the price alone

Totally. The average classic costs say 9, and for that price you're getting at least x4 25 minute episodes, commentaries, lots of documentaries, a nice little booklet thing, the occasional PDF's, and loads more. You really can't turn it down at that price.

Well new they cost 13.99 - 16.99 but they are totally worth it. And with the box sets costing about 35 - 40 they're even better value
