I wouldn't mind finding that issue... is it collected in a trade paperback?

It's the latest Ed Brubaker. I know it's during the winter solider and before CW.

As long as Bucky isn't Shia LeBeouf I will be more than happy.

Cap: The Nazis are coming! Lets get 'em, Bucky!

Bucky: No, no, no, no, no, no, no!

Everyone has been so concerned about the list of finalists we seem to have forgotten about Bucky.

Any new ideas? Personally, I've got my fingers crossed for Anton Yelchin.

It's hardly worth posting but I thought I may as well post this article from a couple of days ago.

From newsarama (http://blog.newsarama.com/2010/03/03...ptain-america/)

Quote:
I know it’s early to be talking about casting rumors for the Captain America movie (although not too early — we’re going to have to start hearing things sometime soon if this movie is going to make its deadline), but Comic Book Movie has a post up that I certainly could see happening.

According to them, Lipstick Jungle’s Robert Buckley has been in the running either for Bucky Barnes or for Steve Rogers himself. (Although Comic Book Movie has amended their post, leaning more for Bucky than for the original Sentinel of Liberty himself.) Now, Buckley wasn’t on the list with the rest of the five “other” Caps — including John Krasinski from the Office — but already I could see the resemblance.

With the Avengers “Trinity” really holding up the franchise, we know we’ve got a winner in Robert Downey Jr., but if Thor and Cap don’t measure up to the high bar he set, the movie may very well be sunk.

yea i would definately love to see anton as bucky he would be a nice fit for the film and could rock as winter solider if they went that route in a sequel/avengers.

As for buckley i have no real hate for him. And would be ok with him as bucky, counting on who we get for cap.

Bucky has to be among my top 5 superheroes he needs to be awesome. Ive posted this on the main casting thread how about ben barnes or zac efron for the role. Both could be 17 year olds AND be bucky cap in a few years.

I'm totally cool with Efron for Bucky. I just don't agree with Anton Yelchin for the role. I can't explain it, I just don't see him as Bucky.

Well Bucky, despite being young, is actually quite the badass and spitfire. I can't buy Yelchin as a badass. Plus his voice is too whiny and he doesn't really look anything like the character.

Emile Hirsch is way too old. Remember, Bucky is only like 16 in the war.

I can't think of anyone better than Emile if they go with any kind of classic Bucky. He looks exactly fuc*ing like Bucky. I know that's not everything, but he is a very talented actor as well.

I'm still voting for Anton Yelchin, especially if Chris Evans is Cap.

It would just be too weird for Chris Evans and, say, Robert Buckley to be on the same screen together -- they've both got the same Abercrombie jock look and look about the same age, build, height etc.

Yelchin has played at least two "little brother" roles that I can think of. He was great in Terminator Salvation as the young counterpart. On Star Trek, he felt like the baby brother of the cast, too.

Yea i am curious to see how they will go with the cap and bucky in the film and what type of relationship they will do in the film for the characters of cap and bucky.

I just rewatched Mean Creek yesterday. Great little indie drama. Amazing performances by a few young actors. But, of the bunch, the most impressive is Scott Mechlowicz. I've pushed for him before, but I'm gonna throw my hat behind him even harder.

The guy can easily do comedy, as he did in Eurotrip, or he can bring some intense drama to the table, ala Mean Creek. He's 29, which is a little old for Bucky, but he can play much younger. I mean, in Hollywood, that's no problem. (In Ferris Bueller, Alan Ruck was 32 when he played high schooler Cameron).

So yeah, Scott Mechlowicz for Bucky. He can bring intensity to the battle scenes and comic relief when needed. Exactly what Bucky needs.

Yeah I remember that suggestion and loving it. Scott Mechlowicz would be pretty cool. If Evans is chosen I could really see them having a good chemistry and scott looks like a young evans so idk.

And it would be funny that both started out in teen comedies

My hope is still for Jamie Bell

Can pull of a young soldier/war photographer

and then can pull off Winter Soldier, if they go that route
