The Official Mjolnir Thread

I started this thread to talk about Mjolnir's possible significance in the upcoming Thor film. How will it be handled? How often will it be used? How powerful are they going to make this mystical weapon? These are questions that lie dormant in the back of my mind and (hopefully) the minds of my fellow "Thor heads".

So what do you think?

I thought we had a Mjolnir thread?
I love it actually, what's been seen at the end of IM2 is basically what showed up in JMS' FF issues and Mjolnir's return.
Makes me wonder how they'll approach this since nobody's been actually named to be Blake.

I am hoping Mjolnir is seen as an incredibly powerful artifact/weapon with vast energy and not just a war hammer.

If they're staying true to the comics, it'd have to be. It's never been a simple war hammer in the comics. It's actually gotten less powerful over the years, in fact. When Stan Lee was writing Thor and Avengers in the '60s, Mjolnir could do practically anything.

I understand where you're coming from but I just don't want them to water down the power of Mjolnir just like they did Hulk's
jumping ability in TIH (08).

I wanna see the hammer summon powerful storms and hit objects with blinding force.

the hammer from the leaked iron man 2 ending looks great. its good to see its full on 616 verse hammer. i know alot of folks were worried with thor ending up anything of early ultimates version of the character. cant wait to see it in action and up close/clear look of it.

mee-yole-ner or mee-yawl-ner is how I've usually heard it pronounced, and that's what I hear in my head when I read it. But I have no official answer.

MYSTICAL. Marvel tried a Tech Based Thor YEARS ago, it failed BIGTIME.
