I think it would be even more dramatic if in the first film it shows a fight with someone like metallo or parasite, and the encounter left no damage at all to superman's suit, even tho huge fights would have happened with them...stuff like having cars or buildings thrown at superman. leaving no damage to his suit.
When Doomsday or Darkseid shows up in later films, and superman's suit gets damaged from the encounter, the audience would be like ''WOW''.

Thats if we even get another film, let alone films.

I want to see lots of BIG action scenes - real epic spectacle stuff showing us just how powerful Superman can be.

But I think the new film also needs some smaller scenes showing some of his powers being used in a more subtle way.

For example .................. whether you're a Smallville lover or hater, the following scene showing Clark catching the bullet is still a pretty cool example of seeing (young) Supes using his powers, despite their very limited TV budget. With a typical $150m+ budget used in the right way, there's no reason we couldn't see something bigger and better on the big screen.

yea that would be cool thing to see a bunch of grand epic scenes showing up his full force of his powers. Then little scenes for a normal day save, or to do something to distract lois/etc.... person so he could do a quick exit and off to save.

For once i'd like to see a fight that doesnt happen in front of the daily planet!

Villains i'd like to see him fight are:
- Darkseid
- Brainiac
- Mongul

Places i'd like to see the fights take place:
- Downtown Metropolis
- North pole, outside of Fortress
- Space
- Apocolips
- Warworld

Things i'd like to see during a fight:
- Superman punches the villain who flies through several buildings
- "World of cardboard speech" (if you dont know what i mean you re missing out. Search Youtube)
- Omega beams hitting Superman (he can take it)
- Taking the fight closer to the sun so that superman can be more powerful.

I want to see Superman use his heat vision at full blast. He unleashes such power while doing it, that his eyes glow bright red and smoke from the power.
Yeah! That's what I loved about Justice League (originals and Unlimited) Superman's fights were massive. That would cost a lot of dough for Live action, but that's the type of fight I want to see.

I want to see Superman duke it out with some 15-20 foot tall robots ala Max Fleischer's Superman vs. the Mechanical Monsters. I had the idea that they could be built by Dr. Vale, and shortly after the incident he could get hired by Lex Luthor to build Metallo.

I'd love to see Superman stop a runaway train.. Sadly it's been done onscreen before and very badly in Spiderman2.

I'd like to see Superman having trouble saving a plane but then managing to lift a continent made of Kryptonite! How awesome would that be?

i thought the spider-man 2 train scene was done very well. Plus if a superman film now wanted to do a train rescue there is many different ways it could still be done and not be simular to past train resues in films.

the rain rescue was done well but sadly it got ruined by the whole "spiderman taking his mask off" routine...

It was a bit like being served a perfectly cooked steak.. And then the waiter slapping dog crap on it as a garnish.

Raimi was trying to show us SM's emotions since his mask doesnt allow for that. That's why we re getting all the in-helmet shots of Downey when he is Ironman. But while i understand Raimi, the whole thing is overplayed. For once cant Spiderman not lose his mask during a movie?

totally i agree there earle, if he wants to show spidey's face, they could do sorta what they did with ironman or if you guys remember the power rangers show, they would zoom into the masks and we could see the emotion in their eyes/ faces and all that for a dramatic thing. No need for mask to come off.

That defines what Raimi did with Spiderman for me. Except for the third one, that didn't include the steak.

o and i considered doing the train rescue thing in my script for a Superman reboot, but decided against it for several reasons:
1) Spiderman performed the greatest train rescue of all time in Spiderman 2
2) Superman could so easily stop the train if he simply stands in front of it and pushed against it, slowing it down with ease.
3) Its not all that spectacular a thing for Superman to do, since other incarnations have shown him doing it quickly, and not in a drawn out action scene

how bout superman saving a plane?... and a cat?

seriously though, I just want superman to do what superman can do, all his powers put to good use doing something grand. I want cool scenes that would give the audience shivers. Doing things where we can say, "only superman can do that!".

A cruise ship sinking ala titanic, but this is a Terrorist act.
Lots of crying and goodbyes. The coast guard and numerous civilian craft are rushing to the scene, but they won't make it in time.
Just as the ship tips up and starts to go under, it suddenly stops.
People onboard are thankful, but they still all have WTF looks on their faces.
The ship not only starts to reverse its descent, it starts to hover.
There, underneith the massive 1,200' long ocean liner is a tiny figure dressed in blue with a flowing red cape. He is holding up the ship.
News copters on the scene catch the sight and broadcast Superman's first real public appearence to the world.

As an introductory action scene, I would love to see Superman saving metropolis from a meteor, it could even be a meteor that Brainiac comes from, we could see a piece breaking off during the rescue, Superman looks and frowns, but realises he has to stop the meteor, it would be a pretty amazing way to introduce both the hero and the villain IMO.

^ Not bad....I would imagine they will try to have something that we havent seen as of yet in other CB films, which will be something that will be hard to do.
