Daredevil
Punisher
Fantastic 4

On the Poopy Pile (worst first):

Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer... because I never did make it all the way through

Spiderman 3... Because the idea that Venom turns people Emo is an absolute betrayal of everything I loved about the character. And Tobey Maguire cannot pull of sexy dancing!

X-Men 3... easy to understand why I hate it when I tell you Cyclops is my favourite of the X-Men

Not seen - Blade (any of them), The Incredible Hulk, Ghost Rider or Kick Ass

Believe it or not, it is. It's not in that mainstream Marvel Universe, just like Watchmen isn't mainstream DC Universe but it is still DC.
So I won't begrudge anyone for including Kick-Ass in this list.

It's supposed to be his dark side. Making fun of your teacher on the phone while eating cookies with milk hardly fits. Nor does dancing on the street. That's being an idiot.

Peter Parker is the nicest person you could ever meet, so the worst he could ever become is a douche.

Well, as Spiderman, he killed - or so he thought - Sandman. So, as you see, being a douche is not the worst Peter can become.

The problem is that in Spiderman 3 Raimi was more obsessed than ever trying to force "jokes" everywhere (and by 'jokes' I mean an embarrassing attempt of something funny). And he suddenly thought that dancing and asking his lady friend for milk and cookies was another superb piece of comedy.

SM3 worked on more levels than people give it credit. It was too overcrowded, forcing them to take story/logic shortcuts but Peter's transformation and battle within wasn't one of them. It was very well handled.

To me, that's exactly what a nerd unleashed would act like. He knows little about women, relationships and, even though he's Spider-Man, grew up with no confidence and limited self esteem. It would've been wrong to portray him in any other way. It works both ways. It's funny but it also rings true. Watch the faces on the women around him as he struts, it's hilarious.

The spiteful dance with Gwen illustrates how far Peter has fallen. It's powerful and emotionally twisted. The blow MJ takes is truly stunning. It's THE catalyst for driving away the suit and for keeping him away and troubled. He knows that those feelings emanated from inside himself. That's what gives the story more depth across the board. Everything he does in the black suit emanates from inside. Wanting to kill Sandman, hurting MJ & Harry and simply cutting loose.

I understand the criticism of some who feel that the movie felt too crowded. It wasn't perfect but it did do a very good job building on the fine characterization of the first two films. They advanced every relationship and threw in some spectacular action. Id much rather a film be overly ambitious then poorly paced and plodding.

That's why I call Spider-Man 3 "worthwhile" at the very least. Think about it, what percentage of all summer movies over the past three years have been as good or better than SM3? When a film beats at least 75% of its competition, it's certainly worthwhile.

Couldnt agree more, its a much better movie than people give it credit for, it has flaws, but the good far outweigh the bad. But for some reason, a flwaed movie is always looked upon as **** on this web-site.

Well, I'll agree that there are certainly worse films in the genre(by far) so that SM3's not really scraping the bottom of the barrel or anything. But having said that, it IS a bad movie. And the whole better than 75% of other crap that's coming out argument? I'm reminded of a phrase about justifying bad behavior by pointing at worse behavior.....I'd say that same could be said of films. It's a straw man arguement.

^Fair enough, but out of maybe 100 films in the genre, SM3 is at least top 30 for me, not bad by any stretch of the imagination if you ask me.

Peter dancing and fingergunning is not an inch better (or less embarrassing) than the bat-credit card scene. Yes, it's that bad. You can reason out the way Raimi conceived that kind of scene but it was utterly cheesey and one piece of the worst kind of desperate comedy. It was just an attempt of forcing comedy where it was uncalled for and lacking of any wit.

Elektra, Daredevil and Hulk was the worse marvel movie. What on earth were they thinking with Hulk. Eric Bana played Hulk so much better in the first one.

My favourite are:
Spiderman 2
Iron Man
X-Man 2

Good Marvel movies are:
Incredible Hulk
X-men
Spider-Man
Wolverine (i actually enjoyed this movie. I want hugh jackman to be gruesome in the second one though. I don't want to see him smile - not once!)

Iron man 2, X-men 2, Spiderman 3, Fantastic Four 2 are average - worth seeing but not necessarily paying for
