well as of right now between skrulls, Thanos and Loki we really dont know who the villain is going to be for Avengers

Thanos is just a rumor based off of a prop that will make a cameo in Thor. It's like saying Cap will be in Iron Man 2 because a prototype shield shows up in it.

Loki is a fav marvel character for alot of people... im sure most fans will enjoy him in live action

Thor is shaping up perfectly. They are putting it together perfectly. Marvel really only needs one more successful film to get Avengers to work. If Thor and Cap fail, Avengers won't work. Iron Man would be the only thing holding it up, but if they have Iron Man and Thor, or better yet, the whole Big Three, the Avengers can work. However, it's too early to judge Cap at this stage.

Anyway, Thor will basically determine if the Avengers can work. If both films fail, it will likely be delayed.

I think if even Thor fails, But Cap is a hit, people will still see Avengers.But if Thor hits, and Cap fails, the chances of Avengers hitting is lower because Cap is closer to Avengers

Thor's in post, and Cap just started filming, so there's less to do on Thor than Cap. Granted, there still may be tons to do on Thor, but more on Cap.

Edgar Wright talks to cinema blend

The lack of Ant-Man had been announced by director Joss Whedon a few hours before the San Diego Comic-Con Panel that assembled The Avengers cast on stage. And apparently Edgar Wright's script for Ant-Man's solo film may explain why the mini Avenger won't make it the first Avengers film. Speaking with Cinema Blend, Wright says....

"I talked to Kevin Feige about that a while back where we just discussed about whether he would be in The Avengers. The thing
is, the script that I’ve written, you know, whether it’s next or not I don’t know, the chronology of it or the way it works wouldn’t really fit in with what they do. And my film is very much an introduction to that character, and so it wasn’t something where it felt right to introduce him in that film. Maybe if I do the solo Ant-Man film and maybe there’s a later Avengers then they could draft him in later. But it didn’t work with the kind of the angle that we were going to do with the origin that I’d written."

They wont know if the GA will like these movies until they are released. The two movies are being released next summer and they are starting to film Avengers soon after right....so if Thor or Cap dont work out there is no real time to fix anything

I think the Infinity Gauntlet is a prop nod to the fans only. (Like the stuff in Reed Richards lab in FF:ROTSS) Anyone expecting Thanos will be disappointed. To me, it's not even in the realm of possibility.

Kevin Fiege says he wants to do Cosmic based movies, Thanos would be the perfect way to do that. But I don't see him being in the first movie, maybe the third.
