No problem. I asked because that looks like a very young Thor, and Tales of Asgard is based on the Son of Asgard comics, where Thor is the divine equivalent of a teenager. The animated series is based on present-day Thor, I think.

I don't like the design much, myself. I hate the little cut-off jacket thing he has, a la Thunderstrike. Who thought an '80s fashion staple would be a good idea for the animated visual of a young Norse god?

I'd have watched it. I'd have been upset if it were Marvel's Thor, who looks nothing like those designs, but just adapting the mythological Thor into a cartoon with Fabio? Why not?

Can't say I am terribly crazy about the character designs

. I mean it's obvious they are going for a vaguely anime inspired look but the execution looks rather unpolished compared to the real article. If you are going to go that route you might as well hire the folks who made The Last Airbender or a decent Japanese animation studio

I think pretty much the only time I've sat back and thought "this is solid animation" during a Marvel/Lionsgate movie was for Hulk vs. Wolverine. Every other animated movie Marvel and Lionsgate have put out looks cheap even by direct-to-DVD standards.

I actually kinda liked the animation in Ultimate Avengers, but yeah you're right about the rest.

At any rate I'm not sure I should look forward to this, seeing as how past DTVs featuring Thor have shown that the guys who handle these features clearly don't understand him very well. And I don't want Yost, Kyle, Johnson or Fine anywhere near a regular Thor animated series.

I'm loving these micro-episodes. Is it normal for Loki to have a spear though? I was under the impression it wasn't. It's reminding me of the spear that he gets/has in the movie.

Also, My Brother, My Enemy should probably be watched before Isle of Silence.

Loki usually doesn't bother with a weapon at all. His magic's usually enough. But a spear works for me.

Yes he does. He had a Knife hidden in a cave with a curse on it. Pym and
Wasp were in this story forget the book but a human finds the knife and bad things happen to this guy in the end.
