"high tech" could mean that they are using real world materials to create his costume such as kevlar or something in case if he were ever to get shot. In the previous films, they never really explained how he was able to make such a professional looking costume, once scene he had on a sweatsuit, rest of the film was the suit we all know

how is Spidey's suit "high tech?" I have never seen a Spidey suit in the comics that I would call "high tech" other than the Iron Man/Spider-Man suit - and I do not want to see that in the movie. There was nothing seriously wrong with the Spidey suit, so why change it? Just because it's a "reboot"? BS!

The horrible Goblin suit in SM1 could be called "high tech" and such a suit on Spidey would not bode well...

I doubt the costume is some type of armor especially considering the article mentioned the costume being skin tight and worrying about bulges.

You're reading too much into it. He's talking about the fabric, eyes, things of that nature. The suit in the first trilogy was High Tech in that way. That's what Andrew is talking about!

I doubt the suit is gonna be a drastic departure from what fans recognize, I dont think the director is that stupid. If all else fails........there's the Alex Ross costume

The suit will be similar to the Raimi costume, because Spider-Man's suit is hard to change. Spider-Man's suit is very simple.
1. Red/Blue tights
2. Eye Lenses
3. Two Spider logos
4. Webs

That's it really. And the First suit was so good, so to be honest. They can only really change the eyes, maybe the colours, make the webs black, screw around with the Spider logos. It's hard to change much drastically. But they have to change some things (like the eyes and webs) or else the GA will be confused if they just use the same suit from the first trilogy.

Be smart, my babies

Five seconds until I saw Spidey's "lower section", then saw something was not right down there. Especially when the article said they worked on that for an entire day.

But then you recovered your fanboy instincts, so it's all ok!

You say that like it's a good thing. He's not Batman.

High tech.... Maybe it's more to do with application rather than appearance.

I hope so. Which is funny, because many on this thread are arguing that the previous approach was too high-tech.
