I'm not a fan or anything but how, given the context, would that idea make any sense?

Well think about it, depending on where new protoforms land they scan whats around them to "disguise" themselves. Perhaps some autobots and/or deceptions land in the amazon or any jungle or even a zoo, they could scan a animal and look like this
![]() ![]() Not necessarily a full on beast form, but a more robotic form like the Transmetal forms in Beast Wars. It could work, and itd be awesome to see on the big screen

Only G1, no beastwars. If they want animals they need to include the Dinobots or original Predacons.

Nah.... maybe have a bot or two based on a Beast Wars design... but in general, no.... don't think it'll work....

This topic did get me interested in Beast Wars again. I haven't watched it in years. That's a series I wouldn't mind them remaking and updating.

I love Beast Wars, but I can't see it working as a live-action movie.

The only thing that was a nod to Beast Wars was Scorponok himself.

That would be a bad idea going back into the prehistoric past would'nt fly with the GA who grew up on Transformers turning into cars and planes.
As much as fans hate to admit it having humans interact with the TF's is essential being that it's more relatable being in awe of giant robots. If the studios want animals then bring on the Dinobots and Insecticons only.

This idea wouldn't work as part of a trilogy.

I thought Beast Wars was awesome, but um....I really don't see it working as a basis for Transformers 3.

Beast Wars was the only TF thing I really got into, and even then, I'll say "no".
Of course, if you removed five words from the thread title and made it "Should Transformers 3 Be?", I'd still say "no".

I enjoyed Beast Wars and would like to see how it does in live-action but with a different director. The first generation of Beast Wars could work with realistic beastforms ![]() The Transmetals aren't really natural but who am i to talk...Transfomers aren't realistic, for now. Not only that but metal is easier to render and make believable than several different animals and achieving photorealistic fur on all of them and then having them transform on top of that.
It'd be way more expensive actually and just not practical story wise because they'd have to somehow have it taking place in modern times and that right there defeats the purpose of even adapting the Beast Wars series. Beast Wars is my favorite Transformer incarnation but its one of those series thats very specific to its format which was a televised series and only works in episodic form.
