Fincher. I'd give it to David Fincher.

I'd give it to Zack Snyder if he weren't already making me believe a man can fly.
Therefore I say Alfonso Cuaron. My three favorite filmmakers are all fantasy driven directors but they're all either taken or not interested in Batman.

Oh. God. No.
Btw, isn't this the wrong section for this thread? Because in the Nolan section there's already a Batman After Nolan thread? |

If after TDKR, it's still taking place in the Beginsverse, give it to Fincher.

I like to see Martin Campbell or David Fincher taking over from Chris Nolan.

Wouldn't mind seeing a highly stylised or period Batman (Batman Beyond? 1940s Batman?)

We've seen three different approaches by three different directors in the past twenty years based on Bruce Wayne/Batman during his prime. It's time for something fresh. Why not a Batman Beyond film? Michael Keaton as the old Bruce Wayne would be such a huge treat due to the obvious reasons. Milo Ventimiglia is a pretty good actor.... he stated he wants to act in a Batman film and hell, he looks just like Terry McGinnis from the animated series.
This film would obviously take place in the future but nothing that is too "Star Wars-ish". If you ever watched the film I-Robot, it's amazing how great the future Chicago looked. It would be cool if they do something like that to Tim Burton's version of Gotham City in a future Batman Beyond film. |

Why a Beyond film already? I rather have few more Bruce as Batman films. We haven't seen Dick/Robin yet.

I'd like that as well (if done correctly). But I doubt someone else would pick up where Nolan left off. I can picture someone starting from scratch with a reboot shortly after TDK Rises (just like what they're doing with Spiderman) however if they must create a new series of Batman films based on a new/fresh storyline then you might as well create a Batman Beyond film. Either that or a Superman/Batman movie. Something with an overall fresh concept.

Even if Nolan's gone I serioudly doubt anyone is inetrested in Robin after the results we've historically had with him. |

I wouldn't mind a futuristic take on Batman, although I don't think it necessarily needs to be based specifically on "Batman Beyond", or "The Dark Knight Returns", for that matter...though I also wouldn't mind the use of elements of both here and there.

Well no matter what universe this takes place in...the audience will expect something different...they can't do the Joker for a while (imo), I've always wanted to see Clayface....or a serious Mr. Freeze without all the puns. Riddler will be ideal though, and if they go with him hopefully they won't go back to making everything silly again.

Then keep Bruce as Batman. I guess I'm only one who didn't like Batman Beyond that much.

I didn't really like it at all either. It was too "Spider-Man" for my tastes. Not that I dislike Spidey but I didn't like the mix with Batman too much. Nevertheless a similar concept could make for a compelling live action take though. Lots of possibilities to toy around with.

Batman Beyond live action will never happen. And I hope they will keep Nolan's continuity, you don't have to reboot the moment you shift the tone. The only problem is the dead Two-Face...

The best chance of it happening was ten years ago and that fell through, so I agree.
