I just get tired of unoriginality and people willing to accept the same boring ass thing. I think it's ridiculous to have the same villian for all 3+ films in a series. Only exception would be Harry Potter I guess since Voldemort is behind the scenes and is still trying to get enough power to win and each individual film actually does have a different antagonist other than Vold.

You have a number of other options yet people pick what we've already gotten again.

^But the thing is, the other villains dont have half the history that Megatron does in the TF universe, Megatron is the big bad of the TF universe, he is the most popular and prominent, sure someone else comes along every now and then, but Meg's always comes back into focus eventually.

I don't mind Megatron coming back,I'd still like to see Unicron as the main and underlying threat. Especially if Primus were to show up. I'd be ok with Shockwave if he was to be the new main threat,but I could do without him very easily. I still don't understand what is so damn cool about him.

I totally understand that having grown up watching the TV show but I just think it will be nice to get some new blood in there. I won't mind if he's in the film of course but I hope he's not the only threat.

Yep. They even get kicked off of Earth which allowed the Decepticons to subjucate a city end enslave its inhabitants. I'd recommed checking it out. It has some goofy 80's cartoon moments but was one of the better episodes of G1.

I will give them some credit for at least attempting to provide characterization for some of the villains in the last one with Megs, Starscream, and The Fallen. Hell, even a couple of the background Decepticons got some lines as opposed to just growling and acting menacing. I want to see them fighting amongst themselves like they've always been prone to do.

Shockwave is just an awesome character, and something very different from the other Decep's, he doesnt care about anything, he is simply driven by logic, not to mention he has kicked Megatron's ass in the past and managed to defeat ALL of the dinobots on his own in the latest comics.

I know most fans are against Unicron, but considering the last two films, for a true threat to both the Autobots and humanity, the previous films pretty much dictate that it has to be Unicron in some form.

It's basically the last film with the cast...the stakes of the film franchise pretty much demand that Bay use Unicron in some form.

I think making Megatron Galvatron and hinting at Unicron is probably best. This franchise needs to get a badass villain again after Megatron got utterly wussified in ROTF and the Fallen himself was beaten in all of 5 seconds (ROTF was friggin terrible). Plus, it would give the franchise a direction for at least 2 films to go in.

I have no faith in this film, however. I think ROTF killed the series in many ways, and I don't see them rebounding. It might be better, but I don't think it will be good. Megan Fox being gone is good overall, but honestly, she was the least of ROTF's prolems. I have to see more before I can believe in this project.

^Personally, I would prefer they un-wussified Megatron in this movie, and then add another villain, personally I think with TF3 they should go the route they were rumoured to be going with TF2, the Autobots and Decepticons teaming up to face a bigger threat.

I feel Unicron is too big to be this threat, so I would prefer Thunderwing, with Bludgeon pulling strings in the background. An amazing fight scene would be Prime and Megatron vs Thunderwing, it just has the potential to be all kinds of epic.

I'd prefer Megatron back please.
Than again, so far all we've seen is him and the Fallen as villains.
Maybe have him do evil stuff on the side and Unicorn as the big baddie.
But with this being the last film, maybe its best Megatron stays the main villain.
If we had a fourth film after I'd say, end it with Megatron doing some thing evil.
Since this is the last film though I don't knowXD

Anyone else think there will be more than just Shockwave and Megatron as the villain in this? Not that I am not satisfied with those two, I am more than pleased, but I just feel there is more to this.

My gut is tell me this is also the case, while we have Megatron, Soundwave, and Shockwave present in the city battle I cant help but feel there is an underlying enemy in the plot, I just hope it's not Unicron.

I've never been a fan of Galvatron. I hated him in the cartoons. His whole bi-polar personality thing was ridiculous, but........i wouldn't mind seeing him in TF3, since Bay has said that this is his last TF film. Beside, Megatron has been rather Megatron I.N.O as far as i'm concerned, so if he's changed into another character, then so be it.

Megatron was supposed to be called Galvatron in the second movie but they changed his name back because it was too confusing for people

Where there is Galvatron, there must be a link to Unicron if you stay true to the series but Bay will not take that so seriously i think.
