Greg Land portrays women as S&M wallpaper. I haven't been a huge fan of Fraction except for a couple of storylines (Lovelorn, Utopia, that one-shot of the X-Club going back in time), but let's place blame where it's most deserved.

I wonder if he knows the difference between a writer and an artist.
(Hint: One of them draws. Or renders. But I'm not going to tell which!) And who would threaten Cyclops's position as self-proclaimed leader of mutants, anyway? Presumably someone from the mutant community, but who? Who on Utopia / in SF would make the claim that Cyclops isn't a good leader, but they would be? Who on Utopia / in SF would even think the rest of the mutants would actually follow them? Writers could head that direction with Storm, but really, let's not rehash that and, while we're at it, let's say we didn't. Writers could head that direction with Magneto, but really, what's the point? That's essentially more rehashing. Let's not and say we didn't.

Now that the X-Men are officially in peacetime (at least that's what they said in the Heroic Age tie-in), the mutant community doesn't need a general to lead them in everything. I'd like to see Scott divide up some of his power amongst other leaders. Now that they're allowed on the mainland again, maybe he could reopen the Graymalkin Industries building and put someone in charge of the X-Men's "superhero" activities in San Francisco. Maybe Charles can find a nice spot in the area to reopen his school for the 2 dozen under-educated teenagers they've got sitting around.

Well, this is why you should be glad I'm not writing Uncanny X-Men.

Also, they could kick Land off of Uncanny forever. Or maybe teach him how to trace hips on his ladies.

And yet, Greg Land is the one who draws them as such. I highly doubt Matt Fraction, in his script, writes to Greg Land, "Hey, make them look lik S&M Wallpaper, totally, dude. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKIN' 'BOUT."
Also, whatever makes you feel better about yourself. If it makes you feel better about yourself to send me the equivalent of hate-mail through the SHH message system, by all means. I shall giggle at them and deem it cute that you care so much. <3

That is cyberbulling, harassment, and flaming. I would suggest you not continue such behavior.

C. Lee, I know you're enforcing the rules and/or giving a warning (and that you have to do such), but I wanted to say the message he/she sent didn't phase me, so it's no big deal to me.
No crying over spilled milk here, or anything like that. For what it's worth.

*sends Bastardo hate mail too*
I'm so ready for Fraction to release this book form his clutches. I was really interested in the mutant virus at first but now I don't care about the guy trying to scam Scott out of the rights to the mutant genome. The Emma/Shaw thing is beyond boring as well. Ugh, Age of X will be a nice break...until it becomes the Rogue show.

I've enjoyed Fraction. But then, I'm one of those weirdos who enjoys Invincible Iron Man, too.

I was never much of an Iron Man fan. I did, however, love Immortal Iron Fist, and I was one of the five people who read The Order.

Awww. KulaJava got banned. I was really looking forward to laughing hysterically at his/her posts in the future.

The X-Men fall under attack more often than most other superheroes. They really need to keep their living quarters, base of operations, and school in separate locations. They were leaning toward that before moving to Utopia (the Young X-Men were living in an abandoned church, Scott & Emma were renting a loft in San Francisco, Pixie was staying with a bunch of college kids in Oakland).

Other than that, the issue was decent |

I like the fact they have Pixie talk like an actual Welsh teenager saying stuff like tidy (good) and lush (pleasing desirable).
Shaw saying good day to you sir! and punching Fantomex into the sky made me laugh. Strom is almost irrelevant in X-Men comics these days.

The intro boxes are getting a tad irksome. "Pixie: Megan - we mentioned the Welsh thing right?" "Cyclops, leader, optic blasts. Having a bit of a head cold".
