It will be interesting to see a villainous Magneto that is young and strong as oppose to old and decrepit. I would however like to see the line I am Magneto master of Magnet.... Welcome you to die.

Dude was the antithesis of decrepit in the original trilogy.

If you thought McKellen looked decrepit (weak) in the first three films, then you're off your rocker.
The man owned that role.

Magneto in the comics is buff despite being older. Ian McKellen is a good actor but not an intimidating presence.

I wouldn't mess with him. Mans got drive, ambition, charisma, oh and the whole thing where he can suck the iron out of my blood. I find him decently imposing.

And no woman in the comics has humble breasts, it's a shame we won't get to see the true essence of any of these women being portrayed. Alas, this is the difference of looking for substance in a film and demanding crap. McKellan made that role.

You can't point to appearances alone for the intimidation factor.
I am one of those people who don't think spiders look scary or threatening. But at the same time, I know that an untreated bite from certain spiders will kill you. For that reason, I'm intimiated by Black Widows and other poisonous spiders. Even as an old man, Magneto can take control of weapons ranging from knives to missiles. Sounds intimidating to me.

Old Magneto was in good shape (probably thanks to running around Middle Earth). But without his powers, he was... an old man (X3). Still, here he can actually be physically imposing in addition to having god like powers.

Why does this have it's own thread? Shouldn't it belong in the Michael Fassbender/Magneto thread?
