It's kinda be cool if they had that Deadpool exist in the same world as the Wolverine from The Wolverine, assuming of course that happens and isn't crap.

I am still so skeptical about everything Fox does at the moment. I won't get my hopes up about anything until I've seen clear reason to be interested. XMO:W burnt me way too bad.

Yea, it's such a shame Fox has the rights. That script, if actually filmed as it is, would be very popular. Not a massive 100 million opening weekend, 800 million final gross, type of movie. But in the same bracket as say, the Blade movies.

But Fox just doesn't have the balls or the artistic merit to make a comic book movie like that.

When Deadpool was at New Line. They had to write around everything X-Men related. So, the Weapon X origin had to be written out.

Well if you'd read the Deadpool script, they've written Weapon X out anyway, to distance it from X-Men Origins Wolverine, which incidently DID have Weapon X in it, and that didn't stop me from wanting to fling acid in my own face.

Haven't read the script. Because I'd like to see the movie unspoiled and doesn't the script have Colossus? Wolverine had nothing that I'd call a Weapon X program featuring Deadpool. That was far too rushed and half assed.

If Deadpool exsists In own universe Colossus Is going to have to be written out.The only
way Colussus can be used IS Deadpool IS part of the X-Men universe and they are just
treating X-Men Origins;Wolverine as never happened.

For those who have read the script, would cutting Colossos change the story? Or could you just replace him with someone like Domino/Cable and have the same impact?

I would personally like to see more X Force oriented characters since thats who Deadpools usually associated with.

No real impact except that it needs to be a hero to replace him. There's a whole important point on the script of Colossus nagging Deadpool to be a good guy and doing the right thing.

So it basically needs to be a by-the-book good guy with a ****load of strength.

Yeah, it doesn't matter about pretending X-Men origins didn't exist, because this colossus seems more from the Comic X-Men than the movie x-men anyway.

Colossus was in the script for two reasons.

1. To make it apparent that even though the Deadpool film wouldn't directly tie in to the continuity of the X-Men films, the X-Men do exist in Deadpools universe. His crack about Charles Xavier being a creepy bald guy was great.

2. He's a moral compass for Deadpool. He's trying to nudge him in the direction of altruism.

I think the writers chose Colossus to fit that role simply because he got the shaft in the X-Men films and maybe they are fans of the character.
