No it's not. A dinosaur is about as closely related to a lizard as you are to a duckbill platypus. Dinosaurs are much more closely related to birds and crocodiles, while lizards are more closely related to snakes. They have many different anatomical features I don't want to get into if noone cares. I don't mean to be an ******* by correcting you.

Menacing is obvious, every villain should look threatening or there will be no suspense in the fight scenes, but I'm sick of everyone wanting him to be "scary," what does that even mean anyway? Like Alien scary? Why?

I don't want him to be scary, I want him to be intimidating as a villain and interesting as a character. If he's just scary then that's all he's good for, the director can show a few scare scenes, then fight scenes, and done. He becomes a throwaway villain to please the fans like Venom in Spider-Man 3. And then who would be the main antagonist? Van Atter?

The Lizard is a monster story style villain IMO
If the Lizard looked like a real lizard that I see on my windows at night except bigger...then he would be a really lame villain...
Thats just me...but I'm sure most people would agree that the Lizard should look scary and menacing

That depends, what kind of lizard do you see on your windows at night? Skinks look cooler than geckos, monitors look cooler than iguanas.

It also depends on what "monster story" you mean. the Lizard is not an Alien or the Thing type, he's more like the "science gone wrong" stories from the 1950's, like The Fly. (not exactly the same, just similar plot: guy tries to make a scientific breakthrough, it turns him into a monster, etc.)

How would you depict him exactly, in comparison to my depiction?

Cooooool! But I would like to see a really cool looking pic of Spidey fighting the Lizard on the Golden Gate Bridge. Maybe there could be an exploded part, spiderman swinging and webbing the lizard as the Lizard picks up part of a car to throw it at him. A battle damaged spiderman in this suit would look pretty cool, too. Keep up the good work!

No, I used geckos as a reference for a lizard-like shape. I wasn't to worried about making him intimidating.

Well, while I think you did a pretty great job on the drawing itself, the look falls flat. It doesnt look like anything lizard should look like. Its way too tame and dare I say, cute.

i just think that isnt nearly scary enough...this is treading the lines of being too lifelike of a lizard and scary...this is the lightest they could go for the movie

Agreed. If the Lizard is the villain, he should be scary. If only this was the Raimiverse Dr. Connors who was being set up to be the Lizard...
