I'd say it's more like Joe Kelly's. Constantly babbling to himself, pop culture references and a need to be accepted and to better himself.

Cable and Deadpool was good, but even then I thought Wade was a bit too wacky and idiotic.

Agreed, I enjoyed Cable Deadpool but Kellys take made the character. Good to see their giving Deadpool some deeper character exploration, its been needed for awhile.

Uncanny X Force is just awesome. Nice to see Fantomex taking the focus, hes been an interesting character from the start of this series Dude doesnt hold back. That new preview looks awesome.

Deadpool owned issue 7. This book keeps on kicking ass. Cant wait for Angel Vs Fantomex. Maybe Betsy is using Fantomex to some degree, cant see a mutual relationship between the two.

Indeed. Brilliant character work going on right here. Anyone who thinks this book is just mindless violence really hasn't got a clue. Best X title on the shelves by a very big margin.

And it's a sad indictment on Marvel Editorial that the guy writing Deadpool on a team book understands the character better than the guy writing Deadpools solo book.

Agreed 100%. I would even say Best Marvel book out there. Theres alot of maturity going on here and these are all some pretty sad disturbed characters. Deadpool has to be more then just jokes cause that will only go so far with readers. That was a great moment when Fantomex calls him out on it in this issue. I hope they try to take the Deadpool solo book up a bit cause he needs some development. I liked how Way wrote him in Wolverine: Origins wanting to be accepted by the X men and all but now all he seems to give us is one liners and ridiculous plots that have no long term effect for the character.

I loved that Fantomex line so much. Most people who i've seen who hate Deadpool hate him because they think he is just a shallow, one dimensional wise ass.

In one single line of dialogue Remender shows that Deadpools steady stream of irrevent banter and wise assery is just a defense mechanism, for lack of a better term.

It shows the gulf in the two writers ability, Remender vs Way, that Remender can tap into what Deadpool is really like with a single line of dialogue, whereas Way has failed to nail down what the character is about in nearly 40 issues.

Yup, and not only did Remender give him the last laugh he showed how deadly Deadpool is capable of being as well. Good stuff.

Isn't that new solicit an awful lot like the arc we just finished? With Deathlock versions of "Earth's Mightiset Heroes"? Sounds a tad redundant...

I want to see Fantomex and Deadpool have a fight to the death one day. It's clear they hate each other. You could just feel the tension radiating off the page.
