Last I recall, he's still running on fake powers from the High Evolutionary. Some writers seem to have forgotten that though.

A retcon I'm ok with btw

Chamber.

And ugh, why does Carey have to make like Gillen and make it look like he might kill a character or two? Carey's such a better writer than that.

Why send only 3 to jump into an intergalactic war? You'd think they'd want more back up. I wonder how they even get there. I didnt like how Rogue didnt bring up Magik when she was going on about potential ways for travel. Screw the probation; Illyana's the best teleporter they have and the quickest, most efficient means to get to space and out. It would be foolish not to use her

Considering Carey is the second-best X-writer and this is something he's set out to do, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Surrounded by an alien army who would see him dead, and trapped on a space station that’s falling into a collapsing star, Havok’s reunion with his fellow X-Men may be a short-lived one. With time running out, what sacrifice will one X-Man make to save the lives of their teammates?

Surprised you didn't make a post praying for Frenzy to be the one to die.
