Howdy all. I've been gathering my Joker threads for the past few years with new additions every year. I really want a "hexagon shirt" but all the color seems too blue. Most everything the Joker wears is a shade of purple. The Tripp shirt was the closest thing to purple I have seen. Any thoughts?? Anyone? Oh..here is my Joker thus far:...uh how the f*** do I post a pic!!??

Welcome! And the easiest way to post a picture is by uploading them to photobucket, copying the IMG code and then pasting it in your post.

The UtopiaBase (redesigned) shirt seems to be pretty screen-accurate, if a little too blue... a bit of Rit dye goes a long way!

I was looking at those shirts. They seem nice and a good price too. Does anyone know how the fit is? They also sell what really looks like a pretty good tie as well.

Their tie is WAYYYY off. You'd probably be better off getting a Stafford tie from JC Penney if you can't afford a Magnoli. (The tie is the only Magnoli in my Joker ensemble.)

I still need lots of help on the wig and the Hex shirt will be a huge inmpovement! I can't do a sports coat and trench cause I live in Key West and its hot as Hadies here!

Personally, I was happy with their socks. (It was either theirs or sockdreams.com's, and I went with UtopiaBase just because I was already buying their shirt.) Frankly, the socks are among the less visible parts of the costume so I would probably pay more attention to the tie if I were you.

Ok..so I will look for my tie. Im happy with most everything else. Im going to alter my pants by cutting the belt loops and get suspenders. What about a good cheap source for those? I know they are not too visable either but a cool addition. What kinda weapons is everyone using? I have a glock and knife but I am thinking of kinda mixing it up and going with a pipe. Rust/tempered metal painted elec conduit should work nicely..

I had it made. I picked out the best material at Ben Franklins along with a vest from one of my suits and the pic from the movie and took them to a seamstress in town. Its a lil small but works. The material is actually carried around to the back which isnt SA but it works. Oh, and I all sorts of little secret pockets sewn inside..

My pants are from Express, they seem to have the best cut, pinstriped and are cheap. Lets face it Joketr has some style and I wasn't going to do it justice by getting a pair of pleated 80's pants from Goodwill. I went for the best cut and a little Rit dye..

Nice. I got my vest, pants, and jacket from joker-shirt.com (AKA hellocosplay.com), but could probably have saved some money if I were a little more enterprising.

As for the tie, I saw some Stafford ties last year at a JC Penney that looked pretty darn close to the Joker's ties, for about $30 each or somewhere around there. If I hadn't already ordered the Magnoli tie, I would probably have picked one up.

What did you do for shoes? I went with a pair by Rocketdog and are the best I have seen other than SA specialty sites. Not SA but still better than most..

I've got several knives, grenades, a pencil, a bang-flag gun and even a Joker fish plush. I like incorporating traits from other Joker portrayals in my costume so it works nicely.

I have a sweet lil trick with the pencil (no pun intended)..I found a Nerf dart with a suction cup that the end of the pencil sticks in nicely.
