It's from the Marvel/DC crossover in the 70s 'Superman vs. the Amazing Spider-Man' (Part II) but that part is from when Superman fights the Hulk.

Agreed, I also like how Gary Frank drew Kal-El to be lean but still muscular. Which is more believable, especially when he's Clark.

I hope Man of Steel has a great scene on Krypton like that

Since this is the comics thread and I don't want to start another for one question, I figured I ask here.
In what issues do "the Vanishing" storylines take place? |

We don't actually see the event of "The Vanishing" occur, just the after effects and explanation in "For Tomorrow" issues Superman #204-215 (by Brian Azzarello and Jim Lee.)

I hope that they don't focus on the origin too much. Like maybe a brief 5 minute sequence right at the start. Because honestly, who in the general movie going audience doesn't know Super-man's origin story?

Looking at that Perez art...he is a true master. I only wish he was drawing the classic Superman uniform in the new Superman title.
If he'd been paired with Mark Waid as writer...holy crap...epic stuff. We'll see how he does on the writing. |
