Question for anybody here who might know a bit about Japanese culture. Does Sasuke's cursed seal marking mean anything besides what it does in the Naruto-verse?

I'm jsut now gettin' back into Naruto. Kinda stopped after getting fed up with the edited version of Naruto on Cartoon Network. I've started reading Shippuden though, and I gotta say it's better then what I thought. The animes pretty good too (original and uncut version, or course)

I've found myself just skimming a lot of the most recent chapters. All these dead people I don't care about fighting new ninjas I don't care about.

Just when Shippuden rises from the fillers into actual story it's thrown right back in. This is getting ridiculous.

Oh that, but honestly I'm really annoyed of Sasuke at this point. He was much more fun to watch in the first series. Now in Shippuuden all he does is mope around and whine. I'm so glad this war allowed us to see new characters doing cool thing we haven't seen before.

heh, i never really liked him that much but the only character that find annoying, boring and completelly overrated is sakura

Agreed! Even after getting trained she's still always saying she's too weak. I hate episodes that focus on her.

One of the things that made me not like Sakura at all wes her past with Ino, for selfish reasons she ended their friendship, while fighting Ino she said the same thing the other girld from the florest said to her and acted as if she had grown up, and another thing that makes her so annoying is that she only sees Sasuke as the best person she ever met.
When Naruto saves her during the invasion she sees sasuke as her savior instead of naruto, sometimes like in the begining of Naruto Shippuden she sudenly becomes very powerful, and ends up doing nothing and only getting into trouble.
Even Susan from the FF during stan lee's years writing her did more than sakura

So far, manga-wise, I've read up to 52. But my library only has up to 52. And I has no money

But anyways, I'm starting to get a tad P.O.'d at the Sharingan. How many people have them? Itachi, Madara, Sasuke, Danzo, am I forgetting anyone?

I use to watch the anime and read the manga... but the fillers just killed me.. I stop watching the anime about 3-4 years ago. still read the chapters weekly. love the manga.

A good amount of people do have them but they all make sense. Itachi/Sauske/Madara all have them for obvious reasons. Danzo collected them on his arm while we learned that Kakashi got his during an important moment in his life.

Yes the fillers are terrible but the anime is great to watch awesome/important moments in the manga such as the Invasion of Pain arc. Those set of episodes were great to see.
