Everyone on the banner below. Don't worry, I don't know who the hell some of the people on the issue one and two covers are either. I think that's Kitty in front, Idie on the side next to maybe Dazzler?

Yeah, even If I disagreed with or didn't like Logan, I'd probably still follow this for the rest of his team, all my faves except for colossus are with Wolvie
also, weird that I couldn't see this thread, anyone else ever have that issue of only seeing a few threads on a particular board??

is that Dark Beast? i know he totally screwed X-Force in the AoA and cant be trusted, but Kid Omega's there even after what he did in Schism, and those red google are almost Bachalo's signature for the character (like in the X-Men/Lizard story). plus he looks more human/ape than feline on those covers. just a thought...

^ I think you're right. That could be her on the second cover under Iceman.

So he names it the "Jean Grey Institute for Higher Learning". No wonder nerds like Wolverine; he's the ugly, short, anti-social dude who never figured out "she's just not that into you".
Logan: I'm calling it the Jean Grey Institute... Hank: Oh God, not this again... Logan: What? Bobby: She's not into you, never was... Logan: Nah, that's my lady. Hank: She f***s Scott Bobby: For like ten years... Hank: He told me about the post-affair make-up sex...it was epic. Logan: (fingers in ears) lalalalalalalalalalalala Bobby: Yeah, Logan, naming the school after her, you can't be such a b*tch, women hate that. Hank: Treat 'em like dirt, they stick like mud... Bobby: Was that Shakespeare...? Hank: Nah, I heard it on Jersey Shore Bobby: Next time you see her just call her a c***, I promise it'll work. Logan: She's my perfect angel... Hank: Oh for Xavier's sake... Bobby: Now I know why Scott was the leader. |

^ I'd like to think it went more like...
Logan: "Who can we name the school after?" Hank: "Hmm.. someone who would be a good symbol, a martyr for Mutant rights.." Bobby: "Well, Jean's still dead, it's been a few years now..." Logan: "Perfect. She died a hero, i get my weird jean fetish jollies, and it'll really piss off Scott" Bobby: "Trifecta!"

. Nah, the way they write Wolverine (and most of the overly masochistic comic relationships) is humorously pathetic. In real life, If you continually try to hook up with another man's wife after years of getting shot down it's pretty pathetic. I find it funny how much relationships in comics are "nerd fantasies" that prove how little the audience, and some of the writers I'm sure, know about women. Wolverine gets shot down earlier in the Len Wein and Claremont eras, his response? Try harder, and harder, and harder to impress Jean. Jean Grey, the girl who doesn't know what's good for her, and just needs a man's man like ole' Logan to show her the ropes. Of course one glance and Claremont and it's not hard to figure out why he may have written women that way.Cyclops, on the other hand, is such a supreme douchebag in the Louise Simonson run it actually starts to resemble real life (I mean aside from her turning into a Goblin Queen and getting "killed" by Master Mold lol).

She really only used it sporatically in the comics. I hope they use the memorializing of her name as an excuse to leave her six feet under. While she has some pretty vocal fans, I think she serves the comic more as a Gwen Stacy-esque figure. Moreover, the Scott-Jean-Logan thing is pretty played out at this point, even if she did come back I'd rather she her become a member of the Guardians of the Gallaxy, start dating one of the cosmic characters.
