Alfred running around shooting people and Prof Pyg showing up, that looks pretty dark to me.

I'm not getting that vibe from the artwork, nor the title.

I remember when Brave and the Bold was announced, a lot of folks here cried foul that they seemed to be aiming the show at kids, and they all predicted it was gonna be the worst Batman show ever, and look how that turned out. I agree it doesn't look good, but for Bats' sake it's ONE picture and a one sentence description. Let's wait until we see it before we declare the end of the world.

Eh, the look is horrible. "Alfred with guns" is obviously just a shock attempt by the creators.

Does Batman look trunks-less to anyone? This could be ther first time in animation that he didn't have them other than Batman Beyond (though that was a different suit).

Still, I agree. I doubt Batman would let Alfred work for him if he was a duel-pistol wielding nut.

How is it that they keep screwing up Batman animation? They hit it out of the park in the 1990s and early 00s. Then they did the atrocious "the Batman" and ever since, animated Batman has either been crappy (The Batman) or campy (Brave & the Bold which isn't bad, but is too light imho) and now this? WTF?
So if we're getting good live action Batman, we get crap animation? And if we get good animation, we get crap Batman?

Well The Brave and the Bold sounded truly awful to me and I wouldnt even check it out. But it came on tv one day and I loved it first time I saw it. So I'm willing to give this a chance and hopefully I will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed all the Batman shows since a child.

How about the "I'm not watching this show because I'm tired of Batman cartoons, and even if I did want to watch it, I'd probably never remember to turn it on, like what happened with Brave and the Bold" bandwagon? It's getting lonely here.

Maybe this won't be as bad as some of us think, but it still comes off as more cheaply animated fluff, nothing anywhere near groundbreaking. I think BatB is good for what it is, but I don't think the animated series of the past decade represent a truly serious attempt at making a Batman show. Doing a show like TAS is just not cost effective and marketable I guess.

What irks me more is they don't want to "do another Joker story", so the alternative is... this? I don't get it. Batman has the widest range of villains, and most importantly they have been proven to be popular. They don't have to cover the same old ground, but there are literally dozens of other supporting characters and rogues that could fill those slots. And it is wasted on these nobodies.

The Joker needs a rest. He is WAY OVER USED.
I hope they used some Alan Grant/Norm Breyfogel villians. Anarky, Corrsive Man, Cornius Sirk, Cavader, and Ratcatcher. Too bad they choose Katanna over Cassandra Cain. Instead making another a new Batman series, I wish they would have done another 20-25 episodes of B:TB&TB. That show is

Besides, it's not like the Joker is being completely ignored. They said he and Penguin would be featured villains as well.

I can't think of a reply more constructive than that. This is horrible in every way.
