Well, supposedly, May should never have been shot in the first place thanks tot he deal. Things happened, but they happened differently.

if i remember right, she was still shot but under different circumstances. then Peter super-CPRed her back to life.... God i hate remembering the retcon.

That was my impression too. Mephisto's deal merely altered past events so that Pete and MJ didn't get married. As for Aunt May, she just recovered. Doesn't make a lot of sense, but then nothing about OMD or OMIT makes any sense at all.

I know she is dead now, but do you think Jean Grey could have her own title? Maybe before she died or maybe now when she comes back have her own title, her own adventures? Become a solo hero, maybe Marvel's greatest female hero?

I'd love to see that. She's spent so much of her days dead, possessed, or just plain underwritten, that I feel like I never really knew her.

I don't think Jean could carry a solo. I would buy it but not many others would. I say the best solution for her is to be placed on another franchise for a while instead of the X-Men.

No, no confirmation, but there's always all the hints that pop up every now and then in the X-books, as well as the characters talking about her every so often, at least more than there used to be, so people think that means she might come back sooner rather than later.

I'll believe Jean is coming back when Marvel announces another miniseries with "Phoenix" in its title, and not a day sooner. I don't care how many Phoenixes they draw onto their covers and promo posters; they're always red herrings leading back to Rachel or Hope or the Stepfords or Korvus or Maddy or John Philip Sousa.

Jean's in the White Hot Room, doing some random stuff behind the scenes. She might be partially behind Hope's birth, is almost definitely behind Hope's powers, everyone losing their fragments of the Phoenix Force, and then there was that time she appeared to Emma in a dream to help her fight Maddy.
