Eh I don't know. I think Rourke is too much of a bruiser type to play the Ghost.
Though I'm also hoping we get the Ghost in IM3, along with the Titanium Man, as the Mandarin's henchmen.

While I'd say no for the most part, I wouldn't mind it (if they DID), if they used him to show Tony getting overconfident again, just before the Mandarin shows up.
In other words, Vanko attacks, Tony whips his butt easily and explodes with "remember how he put up a fight before, now I can take him down with a one repulsor tied behind my back" arrogance. Would nicely set up the shock of his life getting thrashed by the Mandarin or one of his employees (Ghost?). I like the 'rogue's gallery' reason too, even if he's seen just sitting in a cell next to Blonksy - awesome! |

I would prefer Hammer to come back more than Whiplash, Whiplash for all intents and purposes is dead and his arc finished, Hammer looked like he was just getting started at the end of IM2 though.

^I agree, although there could be things Whippy did that were not shown yet but could be revealed later that could generate all kinds of useful conflict for Iron Man. Mainly, getting the tech designs of his out to the wider world so that Stark's main objective of keeping a lid on it would be foiled. Once nice last F-U from Ivan to Tony.

The Ghost should either be the mastermind in a movie or side character with his own agenda rather than a straight up henchman, imo.

I think Whiplash died. The only way i could see him living is if he somehow ejected himself from the suit, but I doubt it. I think his story is done.
