The Dark Knight Rises Movie Masters: Official Discussion

i figured what the hell....with the movie under a year away,merchandise WILL be coming in the next few months...plus,if i remember correctly,the first images of TDK Movie Masters figures started leaking during the winter of 2007/2008,so i wouldn't be surprised if we see some stuff online by the end of this month or sometime next month...not to mention,Toy Fair in February,where we'll probably see the whole initial launch line....so,any and all news,speculation,pics,etc. bring em in here...

think it's safe to say we'll at least get Batman,Bane,and Catwoman in this line...wonder if we'll get the long-awaited Bruce Wayne finally in this line (and,i'll say it again,there's NO good reason Mattel can't make an official one considering they have all the parts already molded to make one!)...perhaps a new Gordon as well,just in a different painted outfit as,again,Mattel already has the parts molded...Alfred would also finally be nice,but i wouldn't hold my breath....

also wonder if Mattel will just rerelease TDK Bats in new packaging,or if they'll actually try to do a new sculpt...cloth cape?

it wasn't exactly BS....it was the 4H saying they'd love to work on Batman Movie Masters from the Keaton/Burton films,if Mattel would give them the licence...

Mattel didn't

......same thing with Superman - they were chomping at the bit to do some Reeve and even Routh figures...instead,Mattel made that horrible 12" line....

Mattel have confirmed for the dark knight rises we'll get a 3.75 inch line similar to the green lantern one and a movie masters line.

I'm hoping to finally see some bat-weapons in the new movie masters line. We've only gotten 3 weapons so far, with the 2 Jokers and Gordon. What do you guys hope to see?

batarangs,of course...grapple gun....sticky-bomb gun,if it's used again...beyond that,have to see who they make,and what they used in the movie....

Yeah I'm iching to see the new figures man! I wonder if they'll use the same TDK Batman or if they sculpted a new one? Febuary is too far away!

- Bruce Wayne (Goon + extra Prototype Suit Bruce Wayne head)
- Prototype Suit Bruce Wayne
- Commissioner Gordon
- Joker w/ overcoat x 4 [3 in box]
- Joker sans coat (Interrogation Scene)
- Scarecrow (Straight-Jacket)
- Two-Face
- Batpod

It's funny how I don't even have a Batman, since my two TDK figures have both broken from bad manufacturing.

We better be getting an Alfred, Ra's, Catwoman, and Bane within the next year...

Yeah I hope the make a Ra's too. Way overdue. And I want at least 2-3 Banes. One with that wool coat, one with the black shirt underneath his vest with the sleeves rolled up a quarter way, and one with just the vest. Lets hope we don't have to wait 2 years after the movie to get the figures again like with Two-Face lol

i'm thinking it'll come out in Feb./Mar. if it's going to...i mean, the Gordon/Bats pack came out in June here...Bats/Joker in October....so it seems to be every 4 months or so...

as for true speculating here,what i'd like to see from TDKR Movie Masters line...going by what seems to be the Mateel Standard for MM lines, Series 1 to have 3 figures,all subsuquent series' to have 2 figures...

Series 1:

Batman (duh!)
Bane - no coat
LOS Hencheman/Mercenary

Series 2:

Jim Gordon
Catwoman

Series 3:

Bane - with coat
Bruce Wayne - new headsculpt and cane

Series 4:

Ra's Al Ghul (old or new)
Alfred

Series 5:

Miranda Tate in Mercenary gear
?????????????????????

That kind of sucks for people that collected the smaller line for begins and tdk aswell as the movie masters, no bane or catwoman to go with the other 5inch figures

i hope the movie masters are easier to find this time

Yeah, my thoughts too. I just hope they look better than the recent 3.75 inch Green lantern figures, More articulation too.
