Agreed. I think she would have made a really good Black Cat.

Good Riddance to the Black Cat and the Vultress. Hathaway looks like a nice girl but no thank you. Disaster averted.

I never noticed the comparisons to Black Cat's suit to earlier Catwoman looks, but just right now looking at Julie Newmar as Catwoman...Nolan had a favorite Catwoman it seems to make Anne's version look exactly like her, haha.

Too bad she would've been Vulturess though. At least she wouldn't be wearing white hair

What does being a nice girl have to do with playing a character? Lol.

Anno Domini i am sorry but you are absolutely one of the most biased people i have met. You clearly are obsessed with Chris Nolans Batman trilogy and hate Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. Really dont post in the Spider-Man sequels discussion board if you dislike the franchise. Spider-Man 4 sounded awful we know that, but you act like the movie actually got made, why do you think Sam and Tobey left the project? Heres a question for you. Do you think the Dark Knight would have been as good as it was if Chris Nolan had studio that dicked around with his movie as much as sony does??

Lol, here's the badass again.

Do me a favor and know what you're talking about first, k?

I liked Spider-Man, loved Spider-Man 2 and obviously hated Spider-Man 3. Don't say I am biased when you have no clue.

And also....it shows how much Warner Brothers cares about Chris Nolan when they don't mess up his films; Sony didn't care about Sam Raimi even after Spider-Man 2. Why would I answer that question when I know WB wouldn't have done such a thing.

PS: I have as much right to post my hatred over Spider-Man 3, so please...tell me to stop posting on this area of the forums and I will only post more

Meaning I like her as a person and as an actress, but not in this type of role. I think she would be miscast. She has that girl next door vibe. I don't like Black Cat or Catwoman as characters, so I could care less one way or the other who's cast. Glad BC didn't come to fruition in Spider-Man's case.

My question is completely valid because Warner Bros infact ruined Tim Burtons Batman franchise by forcing him and Michael Keaton out and Influencing Joel Schumacher to make Batman and Robin an even dumber version of Batman Forever. They did it once.

Look I'll admit I was pretty pissed at how far out of your way you went to make Spider-Man 4 seem stupid. I mean lets be real, that octo-goblin-spider-man was definitely a toy.

There will always be overly biased people for one character or another, rules of the game. Best to ignore them, however difficult it may be at times. Just fun and games in the end, right?

So you're not a fan of Anne being cast as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, or just prefer that better than Black Cat?

I do get why Anne would be miscast as Black Cat and not Catwoman...Black Cat seems like the girl that would try to break up a relationship that Peter is in, Selina doesn't, or at least to me.

Warner Brothers didn't do anything to Tim Burton. Burton didn't even want to make Batman Returns and he shouldn't have because it lacked what '89 Batman had. And Keaton didn't return because Burton didn't return as director. That wasn't on Warner Brothers. Sure, they let Schumacher ruin the franchise, but how is that in any way Warner Brothers' fault?

And I didn't make Spider-Man 4 seem stupid. It did itself when the word 'Vulturess' leaked unto the web. How should I believe that was only a toy when Spider-Man 4 was already going to be a disaster with the villains?

She wouldn't be my first choice for either, but I can see her more as Catwoman. She just seems too girl next door for me, not enough bite. She is a good actor, but part of great performance is in the casting. I think Nolan could have been more creative in casting. Maybe she'll pull it off, I won't make up my mind until I see the film. But I wasn't really buying what I saw in the trailer.

Ahh, I see. I am loving the Julie Newmar look, but I will definitely need to see more of her as Selina Kyle to actually judge as well.

I didn't know that about returns but that would explain why i've never been too fond of it. Either way he was signed on to direct Batman III and Keaton was signed on to return, but the studio got complaints from parents who thought Returns was too dark. So they got Burton off the project, told Schumacher to make a campier more light hearted movie. After Forever they told him to camp up the sequel even more.

As for Spider-Man 4, ehhh the whole vulturess thing was awful but that was Sony's doing. I say that because they told Raimi to incorporate Felicia Hardy because they didnt think they could market the Vulture. Eventually he did the right thing and left, but the story just sounded bad, not octo-goblin-spider bad.

Yes, Burton didn't even want to return to direct BR, and even though he did sign on to BF, it was a mutual thing because he went from director to producer; he didn't leave the entire thing so there weren't any bad blood on that, but Keaton left because Burton wasn't directing anymore.

And it wasn't WB at fault...Schumacher wanted a lighter tone even when he read the script for the film, and he was the one who made it campy and than made Batman & Robin so campy it seemed like a parody.

Quote:
Schumacher hired Lee and Janet Scott-Batchler to write the script which introduced a psychotic Riddler with a pet rat accompanying him. The story elements and much of the dialogue still remained in the finished film, though Schumacher felt it could be "lighted down." He hired Akiva Goldsman, whom he previously had worked for on The Client, to write the second draft.
Goldsman is one part that ruined Batman Forever. Although, he was also behind Batman & Robin as well, he realized his mistakes.

Quote:
In the late 1990s, Akiva Goldsman wrote screenplays for A Time to Kill and Batman & Robin, which were considered subpar quality and got him nominated for the Golden Raspberry Awards. Goldsman came to the realization, "I sort of got lost. I was writing away from what I knew. It's a little like a cat chasing its tail. Once you start making movies that are less than satisfying, you start to lose your opportunity to make the satisfying ones. People are not serving them up to you, saying, 'You're the guy we want for this.'" Goldsman appealed to producer Brian Grazer to write the screenplay for A Beautiful Mind and ultimately won an Academy Award for Writing Adapted Screenplay. The star of A Beautiful Mind, Russell Crowe, later invited Goldsman and director Ron Howard to film Cinderella Man, and Goldsman wrote the film's screenplay.

Octo-goblin-spider bad? Yes, it was. The ideas for the film were just dumb, even with J. Jonah Jameson losing the Daily Bugle.

And to say it was all Sony that wanted Felicia Hardy as the Vulturess is totally not understanding that Sam Raimi wrote Spider-Man 3 and that was a terrible movie. He wanted the retcon, so why wouldn't he also create some awful villain? I wouldn't let that pass him.
